Louise and Paul are incredibly welcoming hosts. Staying in their beautiful castle, rich with heritage and surrounded by acres of land, was unforgettable. I loved learning about their rewilding work and meeting all the animals. The whole family is eco-focused and full of inspiring stories. I also collaborated with Louise on some marketing work and we're still in touch. I highly recommend this stay for anyone seeking a wholesome, environmentally conscious Scottish getaway. I've already been back once! Thanks for making my first Worldpackers experience so fun and memorable.

I loved my time at the lodge. Louise & Paul are kind and welcoming hosts who truly cared about the quality of my experience. I spent most of my working time with Stuart, the head handyman, who is a humble, caring Scotsman with a great sense of humour. The work was exciting and varied and always ended right on the 5-hour mark. I spent my time outside of work exploring the surrounding area on foot or by the provided e-bike. The surrounding countryside is something to behold, wild and magical. The house itself feels like something out of a fairy tale, with a well-equipped common area for volunteers.

Volunteering at the lodge was one of the best experiences, one that will forever be held close to my heart. The Ramsey family are lovely and welcoming, though they are all quite busy which provides sufficient independent time. The property itself and the location are immaculate, it feels like a fairy tale. The wildlife is equally as breathtaking, with frequent sightings of beavers! As someone with an ecological background my tasks were tailored to include some survey work which could not have worked out better for me and turned out to be one of my highlights! I highly recommend volunteering here!

The experience was amazing. I stayed for a week with my wife, and it was one of the best experiences we've had. The whole family was very kind, and it was truly inspiring to hear them talk about their projects and see how dedicated they are to their work. the lodge is also a beautiful place, where you have the chance to be surrounded by nature. The other volunteers were very friendly and helped us a lot. We're really grateful for the opportunity and would love to return one day

Volunteered at the lodge for a week and it was an amazing experience! The work is varied and rewarding, the Ramsay family is incredibly welcoming, kind and respectful of work hours. The room was super comfortable and well-equipped. The beautiful house, peaceful woodland and all the fauna around made every day special. We enjoyed great conversations, delicious meals, and little adventures in the area. Bring waterproof clothes and insect repellent! This place truly feels like being part of something meaningful. We hope to visit again one day, and recommended this experience to everyone 💚
