The Experience

We need a housekeeper to help us look after the properties here at Walworth Demesne. There is a barn, a cottage and the old Manor House where volunteers would stay. We operate a simple Bed and Breakfast so Meeting and Greeting Guests would be part of the position. Linen, servicing rooms between stays etc would be the main part of the role. Looking after, fruit and vegetables and weeding the flower beds is also part of the role.

The place is truly magical, like something out of a period series. Working there was very special, seeing the changes on the property step by step, and it was fun to learn new kinds of work so different from city life. Khris and Jason are wonderful hosts — welcoming, funny, and full of good energy. They always made me feel at home, with their jokes, kindness, and the amazing homemade dinners they prepared every night with so much care. Being around them made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Thank you so much for this experience — I will keep it in my heart.

The moment in the host was amazing! This experience was wonderful — I would recommend it 100%! Immersing yourself in a community with Khris and Jason is absolutely worth it. Amazing dinners, super fun conversations full of laughter, kind and respectful fellow volunteers, and the chance to meet incredibly fun locals. The people of Ireland are always warm and friendly. On top of that, you'll be helping to improve one of the most beautiful gardens I've ever seen and the Old House, which keeps looking better and better! It's an experience I carry deeply in my heart.
