The experience

We need a housekeeper to help us look after the properties here at Walworth Demesne. There is a Barn, a Cottage and the old Manor House where volunteers have their own space.

We operate a simple Bed and Breakfast so Meeting and Greeting Guests would be part of the position.

Linen, servicing rooms between stays etc would be the main part of the role.

Looking after, fruit and vegetables and weeding the flower beds is also part of the role.

What you offer

28 hours of help per week

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Get free drinks or beverages.: Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Program Details

We will provide accommodation and meals for volunteers who work with us to look after our guests and the accommodations here at Walworth Demesne.

Activities & Shift

Regular housekeeping duties like those of any hotel or Bed and breakfast - changing beds, doing linen, cleaning ensuites, getting rooms ready for new guests.

Some simple gardening tasks like weeding and looking after our vegetable garden also.

Rules

NO SMOKING OR VAPING.
REMOTE WORKING ALLOWED BUT NOT AT THE EXPENSE OF THE EXPERIENCE.
NO FUSSY EATERS.
