As a Volunteer Waitress, you will play a crucial role in delivering an outstanding dining experience. You will assist our team in serving guests, maintaining a clean and organized dining area,ensuring that every patron feels welcomed and valued


What you offer

30 hours of help per week

Cooking: Choose the menu, pick ingredients and cook delicious dishes.

Bartending: Make and serve drinks and help maintain the beverages inventory.

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

1 day off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Requirements

Intermediate English or Beginner Italian

Between 18 and 40 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

We are looking for:
- Passion for customer service and hospitality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in food service is a plus, but not required.
- A willingness to learn and work as part of a team.


Activities & Shift


- Greet and seat guests with a friendly demeanor.
- Present menus and provide information about daily specials.
- Take and relay food and drink orders accurately.
- Serve food and beverages in a timely manner.
- Assist in clearing tables and preparing the dining area for the next guests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and service stations.
Flexible shifts available, including evenings and weekends.

6. *Safety and Hygiene*: Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices. Report any hazards or unsafe conditions immediately.
7. *Follow Instructions*: Adhere to the instructions provided by your supervisors or the head chef. If you’re unsure about any task, ask for clarification.
8. *No Substance Abuse*: The use of drugs or alcohol during your shift is strictly prohibited. Maintain a clear and focused mindset while volunteering.
