What you get

The Experience

Volunteers will stay in a large private garden within a state forest together with our little animals. And will help the members of our team carrying emotional, cognitive, social and physical development, stimulating activities, walks in the woods, readings from illustrated books, free play in the garden, and specific activities such as yoga, philosophy, permaculture, English. Will help taking care of the garden, kitchen and the school area.

Words cannot describe what this place evokes. In me? Pure magic. If you love waking up in the mountains of Palermo, being able to cook in an open kitchen and starting your day on the platform among the fruit trees before work, then you've come to the right place - but be careful, there might be chickens running around below you ;-). For example, you can learn how to build a chicken coop, design a rap or plant spring onions. It is important that you are not afraid to enter into conversation if you are interested in something or show initiative, for example if you want to initiate a project :-)

My experience was absolutely amazing! valentina and francesco were incredible and made me feel part of the family from day 1. i spent half my time in the primary school and the other half in the nursery which was a nice change of atmosphere. i would not change a single thing from my time here :) one thing that wasn't mentioned was the wifi is only available during school hours (8-4 aprox) which was not a problem for me but may be for someone else and the washing machine in the school was not working so had my clothes taken and washed at the hosts home. i would recommend this experience to all

I'm very grateful for my stay. valentina and francesco really did make me feel at home and i couldn't ask for any better. (from rides to the center to offering me delicious italian meals, seriously couldn't ask for more). incredible people and what they're doing with the school is amazing, i think everyone who has the opportunity to go should go and experience it. the kids are lovely and teachers too. if you like being surrounded by nature this is the place for you. will forever remember this with love.

I have nothing but words of gratitude and love for the school and the kindergarten. From the very first day, they made me feel like part of the big family created by educators, parents, and students. Vale and Francesco could not have made my experience easier; thanks to them, I immersed myself in the culture and daily life of Palermo. The project they promote is truly beautiful and is based on genuine respect and self-awareness, which, as a teacher, I found incredible. Bellísima experiencia y bellísimas personas. Formas parte del dia a dia con los niños, ayudas con la cocina y ordenas el jardín. Aparte de aprender sobre todo ello y practicar mucho italiano!
