The Experience

We are a registered charity near Perth, Western Australia, on a beautiful 650ac property where we rescue and rehome all kinds of domestic animals. Looking after 300 and more rescue animals requires a lot of helping hands, and so we love to exchange meals and accommodation in one of our guestroom with people from all over the world who help with daily feeding, maintenance and interesting building projects like accommodation for future retreats.

My stay at the shelter has been a truly unforgettable experience, not only because of all the animals I had the chance to live with, but also for the wonderful people I shared these days with. I'm deeply grateful to Sabine for her patience, generosity, and dedication. I sincerely congratulate her on everything she has achieved in this special place, full of live and love. I wish her all the best in her future projects, and I truly hope our paths cross again someday. To anyone who is thinking about coming here: do it! You won't regret it. There's always a need for helping hands.

I lived on the shelter for three months and this place has become my second home. I wake up go on a walk at sunrise over the huge property and start my workday with feeding cats and later all the big animals. I believe I grew alot being here and learned to trust myself and teach others. I recommend coming here its definitely gonna be an amazing experience for you. But be aware that its dirty work and its a small place with few people which means sometimes having alot of responsibility. I grew very close in my time here with the animals whom I will dearly miss.

I had my best time in the shelter. You will truly experience to care for all kinds of animals. It is a really remote place where you have a lot of time for yourself and you can spend time with animals and new friends. I really miss the time and would recommend it for people who truly love animals

I really enjoyed my time at the shelter. It is a wonderful place to stay surrounded by beautiful nature. Lovely animals and a quiet environment. It was such a unique experience, I had a really good time. The Australian government is the only reason why I'm leaving
