Working with Jack was the highlight of our time in Thailand and we recommend it to anyone who loves nature and wants to learn about elephants. We hiked with two young elephants in the jungle and had so much fun learning about them. It immediately comes across how much Jack and his community care about elephants. We worked on the website and social media channels to spread awareness about his project. The rooms were very comfortable with great internet and an incredible view of a waterfall. Jack and his family cooked delicious meals for us with fresh fruits for dessert and took good care of us.

I had the best time at the shelter. Jack and his family were so sweet and accommodating, and cooked delicious food! I almost stayed longer because I enjoyed my time so much, but I decided I'll have to come back the next time I'm in Thailand instead :) Every morning you visit the elephants, Kao and Pailin, and in the afternoon you'll do any tasks Jack needs help with. Jack gave us plenty of time to rest, and even took us on trips outside of the home stay. We visited nearby villages and a temple, and Doi Inthanon National Park. I highly highly recommend volunteering at the shelter.

My stay here was wonderful! The walks through the jungle with the elephants are an AMAZING experience. Jack cares for them deeply and really tries to let them live freely and authentically. He made me feel very welcome and the cooking is delicious :) The work is in the mornings when you go for a relaxed tour through the jungle with the elephants (2-3h) with visiting tourists, to take some pics. The rest of the day you are free to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. If you enjoy nature, walks through the jungle and care for elephants, you will be very happy here :) I highly recommend it!

Jack was an amazing host, from the moment I arrived he made me feel apart of his family! Was a very nice first volunteer experience for sure. The experience that Jack offers is something you won't get anywhere else, up and close feeding and walking the 2 elephants through the jungle! I will be back for sure when I come back to Thailand!!

Unforgettable experience in the shelter Homestay. Jack (the owner) is such a good person who explained me any questions regarding the jungle or the elephants. He made me feel like home.Also, I really enjoyed the food and the dinner around the 🔥 For me it's the perfect place, where you can see the elephants in their natural environment and get to know them, understanding their majestic behaviour. Also, Jack explained me how to work in the land, which was also a very fulfilled experience. It's amazing the effort that he is making to give the elephants the best quality of life.

Elena was the project's first volunteer and she did a great job, such as taking care of the elephants. Plant grass and banana trees for future elephants. I hope to work with her again and thank you for your work with worldpackers.

J'ai eu la chance de passer 6 jours avec Jack et sa famille, et c'était vraiment ressourçant. Le matin, on prennait le petit déjeuner ensemble, puis on partait balader avec les éléphants jusqu'à environ 12h. L'après midi le temps est généralement libre et tu peux donc te baigner dans la cascade, marcher autour de la maison, faire des jeux avec les autres volontaires,... Ou tout ce que tu as envie de faire. La nourriture était vraiment super bonne ! Concernant les éléphants ils sont réellement bien traité et on une vie relativement tranquille. Je vous recommande vraiment ce volontariat !
