My time here was one of the best things I did in Thailand! It was very important to me to find the most ethical elephant experience, and this is it. We spent every morning walking around with Jack's very friendly and social elephants and I chose to spend my afternoons swimming in the waterfall infront of the homestay, sunbathing on the sand, laying in hammocks, and playing with kittens. Furthermore they accommodated my dietary requirements (vegan) and every dish I had was wonderful and accompanied by fresh fruit. Lastly, Jack is such a kind and thoughtful host. 100% recommend!

This is definitely the best volunteering experience I've ever had. It's paradise there. Jack is an incredible guy, polite, and aware of how to really help and care for elephants. When I got there and saw that waterfall in the backyard of the homestay, I was impressed. What's more, the rooms and mattresses are extremely comfortable and the food is fabulous. The elephants are so sweet and powerful at the same time. The experience of following their daily lives was incredible! Jack really loves elephants!

If you're looking for a sign to finally book this experience, THIS is the one you were waiting for! Volunteering at the shelter was honestly one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. This place is truly ethical and you'll learn a lot, not only about elephants, but also about culture, social and environmental awareness, politics... everything is interconnected. The work is super chill, giving you time to enjoy nature, connect with the elephants and even join unforgettable moments, like the traditional Karen wedding Jack took us to in his village! Jack, thank you so much!

Jack is super nice and a great host! I spent almost one week with 2 super cute elephants, which was amazing! The tasks are pretty easy, and you can naturally see the elephants in their habitats. If you love elephants and wanna spend some time observing them, don't miss this chance. Jack will help you with every issue. He loves animals, and he is knowledgeable. So you will have fun and also the place where you stay, it is AMAZING! You have your own waterfall, really haha! I am so thankful to Jack and will visit again there. Maybe when Pailin has baby:)

A beautiful and relaxed stay! Jack took us to see the elephants every “on” day and offered to give us recommendations of things to do close to the shelter. The food was spectacular and the accommodations felt cozy and safe. This was definitely a home stay situation but it was nice to slow down and spend time outdoors for most of the time here. Thank you for everything Jack! I look forward to seeing how the shelter develops in the future :)

This was an awesome experience, I would recommend it to anyone. Jack and his family are kind and welcoming, and I felt comfortable making myself at home. Jack is super knowledgeable about the elephants and local culture, and he is willing to share this information. The location is beautiful! And, as most other reviews mention, the food is DELICIOUS. I could watch the elephants for hours on end - they truly do seem happy and well taken care of. Other animals, cows and cats included, frequent the land, and I think it's because they can tell Jack and his family really care about animals.

Jacks stay was my first experience traveling far from home and I can truly say it was such an incredible time. As a host, I believe Jack is truly one of the most down to earth, caring people I have ever met. He treated me like family ensuring I had three delicious meals everyday, plus extras such as coffees and teas. The stay its self was beautiful. Every day you get warm sun a spot to swim and the incredible opportunity to work beside the elephants he cares for. Every night you have the joy of falling asleep in the cool air of the jungle with the sound of a waterfall outside your door.

I can't even put into words how incredibly amazing and fulfilling my experience was. Jack was the most amazing host. I will truly never forget him and hope to go back to visit him again. He not only clearly cares for the natural world and the animals he cares for, but he made me feel more like family than my own. Jack is authentic , genuine and super funny! I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my time spent with him and his family… not to mention the home made meals were absolutely OUTSTANDINGLY delicious. If you are looking for an experience you will never forget. Please go here!!

I'm so happy that I had the opportunity to stay with Jack! 🙏🏼I stayed one week at the homestay. On the morning we always used to walk with the elephants and in the afternoon I had time to rest, take a walk, make some videos… Everyday I had 3 delicious meals and I liked to watch them cook so that I could learn 😊 Jack is a really caring person, he thought me a lot about the elephants and the Thai culture. On the first day I had to go to the hospital because of a wound that I had before and he even came with me! It's a really good getaway from the city to take a break!

I had a truly beautiful experience! Jack is an amazing host, so kind and supportive. He is so passionate about his project and will teach you anything you need to or want to know about the sustainability, elephants or culture. Helping him with the social media was fun and getting the opportunity to hike and walk in the jungle with his two rescue elephants was a blast! You have your own private room in his home and a shared bathroom. Jack was even kind enough to take me sightseeing to the national parks and temples and local villages. It was super chill and you get a lot of down time. 10/10
