I recently volunteered with elephants at the shelter and it was unforgettable. Jack and his family were kind and caring, and I learned a lot about these magnificent creatures. Watching them roam freely and interacting with them was awe-inspiring. Feeding and observing them was magical. I also met Jack's family and shared meals and celebrations with them. The surroundings were breathtakingly beautiful and relaxing. I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for something unique and enriching. Working with elephants and immersing oneself in nature makes it truly one-of-a-kind.

I can't even put into words how much I enjoyed my time at the shelter. Jack and his family were such amazing hosts, the accommodation was amount the beautiful mountains and rice fields, the food was delicious, and the elephants were adorable. I loved helping Jack with the social media and getting to know the elephants throughout the week. Jack was so knowledgeable and I felt I learned so much about Asian elephants and their status in Thailand. I can't wait to come back!

Staying at the shelter Elephant Sanctuary was the best choice to make. I really wanted to visit some Elephant but was worried about it being a large corporation where elephants aren't treated ethically. At Jack's place, you can see how much he cares for his two elephants Khao and Pailin. It's a very wholesome experience, the elephants are free to roam wherever and we take them on walks on a different path each day so they get a more real jungle life experience. I'm so happy to have been a part of such a project :)

I had the best experience at the shelter! Jack and his family were so nice and welcoming. Every morning, we fed and walked with the elephants — we learned so much about them! In the afternoons, we had free time or Jack would drive us to some beautiful spots. I 100% recommend it!

My volunteer trip to the shelter was the best ever! Coming from Mexico, it was everything I wished. It's more than an elephant place; it's a family and community offering elephants a free, natural home. It's ethical for all. The guesthouse is comfy by a waterfall, with good facilities. Getting there is an adventure through beautiful forests. The food was delicious, healthy, and from their own farm. Daily, we watched and walked with elephants. Afternoons, we helped or relaxed, sharing stories. I hope to go back. Feeling an elephant walk freely beside you is uniqueand unforgettable. Thanks Jack.

I would totally and absolutely recommend this experience, Jack is a person committed to the volunteer program, and even more so with his elephant project, the situation of elephants is currently complicated but I truly believe that what the shelter does is the way to achieve it. Elephant welfare today. I am so grateful to Jack for sharing with us his story and his little paradise at home. Getting to the site can be tricky but it's worth it, I will never forget those days I spent in the shelter.

My volunteering at the shelter was a very pleasant and enriching experience. Jack and his entourage listen to our particularities and try to adapt to each one. The volunteering itself consists of accompanying the elephants every morning for a short hike in the jungle and has retraced our experiences on social networks. The rest of the time we are free to do what we want. It is obvious that Jack loves these elephants and that he does his best for them. I highly recommend this volunteering if you are looking for a peaceful place where the elephants are respected and safe.

It's hard to put my experience at the shelter into words. I did a lot of research about ethical elephant tours. I didn't find any that fit my expectations or that I felt were truly ethical and respectful. I saw a video of another volunteer (Julia), and it caught my attention. It looked great and genuinely honest when it came to the treatment of the animals. So I had high expectations, and I am so happy to say that the shelter has exceeded them all. Please don't hesitate, don't second-guess yourself, just apply and be ready for the experience of your life. You'll learn so much.

My time here was one of the best things I did in Thailand! It was very important to me to find the most ethical elephant experience, and this is it. We spent every morning walking around with Jack's very friendly and social elephants and I chose to spend my afternoons swimming in the waterfall infront of the homestay, sunbathing on the sand, laying in hammocks, and playing with kittens. Furthermore they accommodated my dietary requirements (vegan) and every dish I had was wonderful and accompanied by fresh fruit. Lastly, Jack is such a kind and thoughtful host. 100% recommend!
