The Experience

I am semi-retired and free from most schedules, so I can offer a guest the magic and mystery of Yukon, but I can also offer roadtrips around Yukon, BC and Alaska. As my roadtrip companion, we can explore using a SUV as our vehicle giving us the option of tent, vehicle or hotel along the way. Travel and explore, or stay local where you can learn Northern living. I am open to suggestions. I have arthritis in my spine, so I can't really hike.

Staying with Stephen was the absolute highlight of my trip! I got to see places in the Yukon I never would've discovered on my own and got the real Yukon experience I wanted. His knowledge about the area is incredible. He is really easygoing and the more time you spend with him, the more his great sense of humour comes through. He didn't hesitate to wake up at 3am so I could see the aurora and always made sure we stopped for the best photo opportunities. Thank you so much for your generosity and for making sure I had the best experience possible! I'll definitely come back next year!!

I spent two wonderful weeks in Yukon. Stephen is an excellent and welcoming host with a deep knowledge of the area. A truly unique experience in a rustic cabin surrounded by wilderness. Thank you!

A thousand thanks to Stephen. He is such a kindness with great hospitality host. That was my first volunteer experience, and at the first, I thought it was too good to be true - but his hospitality provided that it was real. I have chance to met his family and friends. He also shared a lot of historical background for me to know Canada well. We did a lot of road trips and I have been able to see very unbelievable Northern Lights. My English may not be good enough to fully express my gratitude for my stay here. But please know that here's the place you should come.

If you are considering going, you will not regret it. Stephen is the loveliest, most generous host I have ever stayed with. I feel so lucky to have experienced Yukon and Alaska with him and Juneau. It is a truly unique experience you will not get elsewhere in Canada. Thank you Stephen for everything 🙏
