The Experience

Tiago and Silvi run a winery located in the northern part of Portugal, 1 hour away from Porto, and they are looking for two people to help them during these hectic times of the year. You'll be staying in your own room with a private toilet and will be allowed to use our kitchen when necessary. There's pool at the property that you can use. Note: We have a dog.

Absolutely amazing experience! This was my first Worldpackers experience and I couldn't have asked for a better one! Tiago and Silvi are so welcoming, we shared some amazing meals. The accommodations are beautiful as well! Tiago was always willing to take us to the train station for us to explore nearby cities! We got to meet their wonderful families and get to learn about Portuguese culture. I will always be grateful for this experience and strongly recommend!

Tiago and Silvi were so wonderful to stay with !! They provided us with beautiful accommodations and always ensured we were well fed. The work consisted of a variety of tasks that changed each day, some including the winery based activities and some more along the housekeeping route. Silvi and Tiago introduced us to their family, shared many good tidbits of information about culture and language with us and were always thoughtful and considerate of what we wanted to do with our free time!! I cannot recommend this experience enough if you get the chance. Thank you!!

As my first experience, choosing the the winery was the best fit for, it was unforgettable. Tiago and Silvi made me feel welcomed from day one, they are the best hosts you can wish for. I helped with tastings, social media and house tasks, always learning something new. We shared amazing meals and late-night chats that I'll always remember. They were flexible, kind and full of great advice. I left inspired, more grounded and with a heart full of gratitude and remarkable moments. If you get the chance to volunteer here, go for it. You'll learn a lot and feel part of something real.

We had a really good stay at the the winery with Tiago and Silvi. I really appreciated how family oriented their lifestyle and business is. The tasks included some house keeping but also dish washing after wine tastings, car washing, wine labeling, and yard work on the vineyards, the winery property, and their house. We were able to take a few days off twice- to see Porto and Lisbon. This was lovely, but we had to find our own accommodation with was an expense we didn't initially plan for. Regardless, we were grateful for the opportunity to explore and experience the the winery. I reccomend!

We absolutely loved staying with Tiago and Silvi (and of course little Dinis!). They are the sweetest people ever and they were great at making us feel at home. We had so much fun meeting their families, playing games and learning about the Portuguese culture. They were super flexible on the work and were great at communicating which tasks we should help with and how to do them. The amount of work was completely doable - we were surprised at the amount of free time we had. They brought us on trips to different cities and we went to a couple restaurants which was very fun. 10/10 experience!!
