The experience

Tiago and Silvi run a winery located in the northern part of Portugal, 1 hour away from Porto, and they are looking for two people to help them during these hectic times of the year.

You'll be staying in your own room with a private toilet and will be allowed to use our kitchen when necessary. There's pool at the property that you can use.

Note: We have a dog.

What you offer

32 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Get free drinks or beverages.: Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Fluent English

Between 24 and 32 years old

Only welcomes couples and partners (does not accept solo volunteers)

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

We are looking for help in harvesting the grapes and possibly in processing the grapes in the winery and cleaning the machinery afterwards. Harvesting days are very long!

Other tasks we might request from you might be taking food/water to the workers or helping us with the preparation and cleaning of the wine tastings we do.

Activities & Shift

During the harvest days we will start at 7.30 AM.

Outside of those days, we are flexible, as long as tasks are completed.

Rules

Be respectful and friendly with other guests; do not make noise after 9 PM.
