Tony and Pat are both very kind and Tony is keen to give recommendations on days off. Tony is also an excellent cook! The property is beautiful and very peaceful and their little cat Maisie is very sweet and friendly. I will definitely miss the serenity of being here Suggestion for volunteers: I would advise, at the start of your stay, just going over what the exact expectation is with keeping track of the 5 hours per day just so you're in the know and there's no misunderstandings or confusion :) don't be afraid to ask questions, Tony is happy to explain! :)

Volunteering at the project was an incredibly rewarding experience. Pat and Tony are wonderfully welcoming hosts, always ensuring you feel at ease and clearly communicating expectations for the tasks. The 5 hours per day are respected. Tony took us to the train station when needed and offered fantastic recommendations for exploring nearby towns during our days off. The meals provided were delicious! The house and surrounding forest are stunning, it is an ideal location for anyone who loves nature. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a meaningful volunteer experience!

Tony and Pat were incredibly welcoming, making us feel like part of their family from day one. The tasks were clearly explained, and the agreed hours were always respected, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Every meal was delicious, and the place itself is stunning—cozy accommodations, a peaceful river, and a beautiful forest perfect for exploring. They ensured we had everything we needed and suggested amazing nearby spots to visit. It was the ideal place for our first volunteering experience. Highly recommended if you're looking for something peaceful and immersed in nature!

I really enjoyed helping out Tony and Pat for the few weeks they had me! All of the tasks were outside, like helping with the garden, logging, etc. so be prepared to get a little dirty and connect with nature. It was a very peaceful place and I got to walk around a lot and meet some of Tony's local friends. I was a little bothered by the consistent talk of American politics and news, but I believe they are both kindhearted people and didn't mean anything by it.

Tony and Pat made this exchange feel like a home away from home. It was very clear of what was expected on a day to day basis and it was very rewarding to work with our hands. The meals were some of the best food I have ever had and Tony was able to show us all the beauty of Cornwall which we really appreciated! I could not recommend this exchange enough and hope we can come back sometime in the future! This was an eye opening experience and amazing to see their attitude and dedication to a sustainable lifestyle. I will never forget the time spent with Tony and Pat and miss them already :)

Thanks for your great review Collin. We really enjoyed hosting you both. Thanks for all the work you did and the social times. We were lucky to swim in the sea in October. Good luck with the cats in Croatia.
