If you want to relax, live a local life and learn piano or guitar this is it for you. You sometimes also get 3 days in a row off so you can travel around. For example I did a 3 day bike tour. the shimanamikaido. Recommended. You do work a lot but that's ok. Ryo and the staff are the highlight of this place. Such cozy vibes with the team

The hostel is a wonderful place that brings together people from all over Japan and different parts of the world. Good working hours are balanced here to give you the opportunity to explore Takamatsu and its surroundings. Chizuru does an amazing job as a host, inviting you to participate in the dynamics of the hostel and the city. All the staff are really wonderful and friendly and can help you at any time. I hope to return in the future.

My stay at the hostel was really amazing. The work wasn't stressful or hard, and there was a well kept schedule. I really enjoyed the cooking by chef Ryo, he blew it out of the park every night with his food, and his amazing instrumental abilities. The best part of the stay were the people, connecting with the other volunteers and guests were the best parts of my days. Overall, I would absolutely recommend the hostel!

During my volunteering at the hostel, the team and guests created a welcoming and inspiring environment. The experience was a lot about connecting with amazing people from different backgrounds. It is also a good spot to travel around Shikoku and you can go for a short trips to Kansai area. I've learned quite a lot of things about japanese culture and cuisine. You can learn how to cook their meals from the hostel's chef himself. Overall it was an unforgettable experience that I would honestly recommend.

I had a fantastic 5 weeks at the hostel! The team is welcoming, and the location is perfect for exploring all that Shikoku has to offer. The work is straightforward and collaborative with other volunteers, especially on tasks like laundering bedsheets when it rains. While the kitchen hours on work days are limited, it is a good chance to plan and get creative with meal prep. Overall, the experience was memorable, and with a bit more focus on team coordination, it could be even more amazing.

I had an amazing experience volunteering at Takamatsu. The staff were super friendly and always willing to teach me more about the local culture, which made me feel very welcome. The food, prepared by the chef, was absolutely delicious; Every meal was a real pleasure. The work environment was relaxed and very pleasant, which made each day rewarding. It is a good opportunity to have a more local connection.

We had a great experience at the hostel 🤗 Its a great central place to discover Kagawa, and also you are provided a lot of tourist information by local staff and pamphlet! The hostel is very nice and clean. Its a great place if you are extrovert, if you are introvert you need a lot of social battery. About the hours, it is respected during low days but during full days (a lot) you often work for laundry till 4/5pm Overall a great place, very nice staff and team of volunteer 🤗 would recomend !
