My month at the hostel was amazing! I met wonderful people and had plenty of time to explore Shikoku. We also had fun nights out together as a staff, going to bars and karaoke. Everyone was super friendly, open-minded, and always willing to listen. I really enjoyed my stay and felt like part of the team!

It was a wonderful experience; I learned a lot about Japanese culture. The staff is very friendly. The schedule is well-maintained, and I work online, so I was able to adapt very well to the routine.

I had such a great time at the hostel! The staff and the others volunteers honestly made the whole experience unforgettable! They took us volunteers to do so many different things, and it really felt like being part of a little family - I met so many wonderful people here! Our room was cozy and even had our own shower and toilet, which was super nice. The work was totally doable, though at times (depending on the season) it can get a bit tough with all the stairs and laundry. From the hostel it's easy to explore lots of beautiful places, especially the islands nearby. I'd definitely come back :))

When travelling as volunteers, sometimes it can be difficult to find places where we really can get in touch with the local community. That's why I feel extremely lucky to have volunteered at the hostel. The official staff is japanese, allowing you to immerse in the language and culture (anyway, Chizuru and few other staff members speak also English). Work hours are respected and we often even managed to finish before the due time. Chizuru has been a traveler herself and well understands the needs of the volunteers. Simply put, the hostel is a perfect choice for your volunteering in Japan.

I spent one month in the hostel,it's a great memory for me, I met a lot of people who have different interests and backgrounds and we made friends.that's really nice. The work is not very hard and we often can finish in advance, but I think making a good organization to assign work will be better.and the staff are very friendly and supportive,.we can enjoy our time in off days. I think it is a precious opportunity and experience for me.

I really enjoyed my stay here and met amazing people during my time. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which created a really good atmosphere. The work is physical, not long, but quite intense , so be prepared for that. On your days off, you can explore the surroundings like osaka or other cities, although in the city of Takamatsu itself there isn't much to do. Overall, it was a great experience!

It was great meeting Chizuru and the staff at the hostel. The tasks were as described with 20 hours a week of laundry/cleaning/making beds. I'm glad I got to learn some Japanese while volunteering here and I enjoyed becoming friends with the staff and fellow volunteers as well as exploring Takamatsu.

I had a great time at the hostel. The team is welcoming and the chef-made dinners were absolutely great - heavily discounted in exchange for help cleaning up, which seemed fair. I had the pleasure of meeting great volunteers, interacting with cool guests and working with a vibrant team in a lesser explored part of Japan. There were some days where the work went over the time that was detailed but this was not the norm and was only because of rain holding up laundry drying. We often finished early and had more time to explore. I recommend this host and hostel.

I loved my time at the hostel! The staff were all incredibly kind and made a genuine effort to get to know everyone, which made the experience feel truly welcoming. I met many wonderful people (staff, fellow volunteers, and hostel guests) and thoroughly enjoyed experiencing the local culture in a smaller part of Japan. The work could be a bit challenging at times, mostly because of the heat and the stairs, but everything else about the experience more than made up for it. I'd recommend it to anyone!
