The Experience

We will host a vibrant garden market (Pasar Kebun), showcasing nature-based products, local cuisine, workshops, and networking opportunities. Predominantly led by marginalised women and youth entrepreneurs. This market serves as a platform for them to promote and refine their offerings. We offer support in enhancing product quality and provide financial literacy guidance to empower these vendors to prioritise their families' health and education.

Wow, where to begin! I have had the most incredible experience at the organization. In only such a short space of time I feel like I have experienced and learnt so much. This volunteering experience so impactful and so fun but I have also found my family in Indonesia 🫶🏽 Asih was kind, humble, loving and incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. She made delicious food and shared stories and goals with us. Haidar was with us every day, taking us to the village to experience fun activities such (tofu making, day trip to the waterfall). What a wonderful family, I'll remember my time here forever. Thank you the organization💗

I had the best experience with the organization. We were there to celebrate their Independence Day and helped them set up the event. On the day we were able to meet all the locals and help anyone who wanted to practice their English, and they gave us the opportunity to really get involved and we felt truly accepted by every single person there. Asih's hospitality is unmatched and her cooking even better. You will definitely not be leaving this experience hungry! Her family are so welcoming and her son Haidar even offers tours to all the surrounding attractions for a very good price. Thank you the organization 🫶🏼

I had a life-changing experience. The locals are very friendly and eager to learn. Something important to keep in mind is that if you want to have a good experience, curiosity must be one of your strengths. Speaking with the host, I told her I'd like to learn as much as I could, so she taught me how to make donuts, about permaculture, and a little bit about gardening. The project is still taking shape, but they have a clear objective. Everyone made me feel very welcome, and I'm grateful for all the attention.

I had a great experience with the organization! It was a beautiful opportunity to meet other volunteers from around the world and connect with the local people. One of the highlights was visiting local schools and spending time with the kids — such a joyful and meaningful experience. Outside of volunteering, I also joined an amazing tour organized by the organization to Mount Bromo, Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, and the stunning black sand beach. Every moment was unforgettable. Thank you so much, the organization, for the wonderful memories and for creating a space for connection, culture, and adventure.

I had a beautiful experience volunteering at Omah Sinau. I feel like I really had the chance to get to know the local culture and connect with local people. Moreover, I really agree with their goals and truly hope they get to accomplish them one day! :)
