Description
$5 per day to cover the basic minimum expenses of food, supplies, electricity, wifi, utilities, materials, etc.
What you get

- Have some time off for yourself, go explore the city or rest for a while.
- Private Room
- You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
- Shared Dorm
- You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
- Team Dorm
- You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.
- Tent
- You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.
- Breakfast
- You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
- Lunch
- You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
- Dinner
- You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.
- Basic Internet Access
- Basic speed internet for you to work remotely
- Dedicated Workspace
- Specific space for you to work remotely
- Use our equipped kitchen

The Experience
We are currently facilitating a volunteer program to lead, manage and enrich the land, the animals, and the community in a healthy way. 🌱 This mostly includes gardening, harvesting and processing fruits and vegetables from the land, taking care of the land, cleaning paths, and renovating some of the older buildings into comfortable, functional spaces.

Tierra Fresca is not just a place to practice and learn about sustainable living -- it's a place where the volunteers, organizers, and locals share a community dedicated to strengthening the bond between people and their environment. During my time here, not only did I form a connection with the surrounding jungle that had physical benefits on my health, but I also learned just how easy it is to get along with people from around the world. The staff at Tierra Fresca is incredibly generous, fun, and committed to their work, and they made my stay as comfortable as I could have imagined.

My time at Tierra Fresca was, without a doubt, the most meaningful and incredible few weeks of my life. The land and wildlife were abundant and absolutely stunning, but the community and leaders of the program exceeded every expectation. Not only do I now have a home away from home, but a second family that embraced me with open arms and hearts. I will be forever thankful for this opportunity, and highly recommend Tierra Fresca to anyone seeking an eye opening experience immersed in nature. I left Guatemala at peace, and am already planning my next journey back to the farm❤️

My time spent at Tierra Fresca was nothing short of incredible. The mission, property, accommodations, work, food, and experience was amazing, but what really changed my life was the incredible people running this beautiful farm. The commitment, compassion, and experience they all posses was mind blowing. The 3 leaders of this project : Davis, Luis Pedro, and Angela all had pure hearts and intentions- but had their own niches and skills of their own which add up to a beautiful end goal. I'm running out space, but would absolutely recommend this program to any traveler. I will be back.

Staying at the farm was such a unique and unforgettable experience! The 2 weeks I stayed flew by so quickly. Each day can differ so there's always something new to learn. We learned so much about gardening, permaculture, sustainable living, and even did some building. Everyone is very kind and encourages you to follow your own passions with the work to do what feels right. I love to cook so I often spent a lot of time in the kitchen! We often got to hike to waterfalls either after a morning of working and we even did a full day 3-waterfall hike which was incredible. I loved this place!!

My best friend and I stayed here for two weeks and we absolutely loved it. Luis, Davis, and Angela were all amazing hosts and had us feel very welcome. The tasks we did were super engaging, fun and special. Each day was different and we learnt so much from our stay about the land, gardening, nature and planting! We did so many fun activities with other volunteers like go in the pool, dance parties, bonfires, picnics, waterfall hikes and so much more. Missing Tierra Fresca already and definitely will be back again. Thank you for everything! Miss you family 🫶🫶
