Hi! 👋🏼 We are makers, designers, artists, alchemists, visionaries and advocates for creating a new Earth: anchored with old-world wisdom, ignited by modern technology, in which we thrive harmoniously with each other, nature, and the natural cycles of life.
Our mission is to build a regenerative neighborhood and community homestead; focused on health, growth, balance, community and innovation; and to provide a safe space for exploration, nourishment, education, celebration and healing. ❤️
We are nestled in the tropical mountains above Chicacao, Guatemala, a one hour drive from Lago Atitlán, two hours from Antigua, three hours from the capital city, and three hours from the pacific beaches, and the trending surf town of El Paredon.
This farm was a historic coffee plantation, with 27 buildings, functioning water and electrical systems, and old fruit trees that were planted decades ago…
Activities & Shift
This land is extremely abundant, and grows fast. We have food of all kinds, and planning the intention re-forestation of a designated section of the land, to become an interactive food forest.
**Fruits on the land are:** 40yr+ old fruit trees: mangos, coconuts, avocados, mandarin, lime, orange, banana, cacao, coffee, banana, sapote, mame, sapodilla, guyaba, and more…
**Vegetables on the land:** sweet potato, camote, yakon, pacaya, jisote, vegetables, herbs, flowers,
We have infrastructure to build a nursery and cultivate many varities of plants, for our own consumption, study and sale to the town and travelers at the lake. Medicinal plants are worth a good amount of money, and rare varieties even more. We already have many high-yield fruit trees and plants here that we can clone, in addition to continuing to grow the collection over time.
+ 3 hours per day, 5 days per week.
Rules
+ We currently have 2 dogs and 3 cats on the farm. If your animal is trained, friendly, and non-violent, then we can discuss bringing them.
+ Make sure your truck/van/bus is able to climb up some rocky backroads. Low cars and RVs will not make it. An 11-window bus was able to make it. If you're curious, just ask and we can evaluate.
+ The wifi is good in the office. Once you walk off onto further parts of the property, it cuts off. Sometimes the electricity goes out in rainy season in the evenings, but usually comes on either within a few minutes, or by the next day.
Full handbook and agreement sent upon acceptance to the project.
