The Experience

The main tasks we need is housekeeping duties, preparing a yummy breakfast for our guests and keep tidy the rooftop common areas tidy. Shifts can be 5 days x 4 hours in the morning or divided between morning and evening when we organize events for guests. Our hostel is new, social and relaxed vibes, right in the heart of the city. We like bringing life to the hostel and always keeping a great atmosphere so we need your help with this too.

Rob is an incredible host, from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. He was very attentive, flexible with schedules, and very consistent with everything that was agreed upon beforehand. The hostel is very quiet and the tasks are very simple, we always finished the work ahead of schedule. The room offered is a guest room, so the cleaning lady always came to clean every day. Breakfast is very basic, but it was enough for me. The hostel doesn't offer many benefits such as tours, etc., so you have to do everything on your own. It's a very worthwhile experience if you like to travel slow

I had an amazing time in Shkodër during this project and albanians people are very kind! The tasks are simple — you'll be responsible for check-ins, setting up breakfast, and cleaning the common areas. Rob, the manager, is such a nice guy and you'll definitely have fun there. Also, great opportunity to improve your english and being in the north of Albania is a great way to explore the surroundings and even visit Montenegro or other nearby countries!

My experience at the hostel was amazing. The work was very smooth, and the other volunteers were great as well. During the volunteering, Rob, the manager, was always present and attentive to all needs. Besides him, Tito, the best pet guest cat, brings joy to the hostel. The place has excellent facilities, is super easy to reach, and is also very well located. I highly recommend this volunteering experience!

We ended up staying for 5 weeks, which is quite a long time to be in Shkoder, but staying in this hostel made it 1000% worth it. By far, the comfiest and most spacious beds you will EVER find in a hostel! It is also super clean and well taken care of. The tasks and expectations were consistent and respected. The manager Rob, is a chill and kind host and does a great job accommodating not only the volunteers but guests alike. He is FULL of knowledge regarding Albania and is always willing to help. The owners, Marci and Ellie, are kind, loving, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
