The Experience

Bali is well-known as best tourist destination in Southeast Asia, but in certain area at the countryside, some places are untouchable by tourism, and this make peoples in this area just become supporter tourism only. Base on this situation we try to upgrade the value of the children in the village on their language skill. This skill will help them to open their mind and explore more to see the world and find better opportunities and better job.

Our experience here was so amazing! We stayed for a total of 20 days and we left feeling fully immersed in the local culture. The host made us feel so welcome and was extremely generous. As far as the kids go, they were awesome to work with and so eager to learn. We were given a lot of creative freedom with lesson plans which we enjoyed. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who is thinking about it!

I loved my time at the host. Ketut and his family are such kind people. They went above and beyond to try and make my experience enjoyable. The whole village was welcoming and I left wanting to stay longer. The kids are adorable, very polite and engaged. They are very eager to learn English, which makes it a rewarding experience. Some of the older kids even took us on scooter rides to see the volcano and the other towns close by. They are truly special people and I 100% recommend the experience if you are looking for an authentic Bali experience.

I really enjoyed this experience! You teach English to around 30 children aged 7–15 for just 1 hour (4 PM – 5 PM). The kids are eager to learn and very nice. You stay in a nice little villa with an equipped kitchen and a beautiful garden. There are supermarkets nearby and a restaurant right next to our place. Everyone there was so friendly and kind — I will miss you all! Also, there is a gym just a 10-minute walk from our place!

I don't have enough words to express how meaningful this experience was for me. It was my first time volunteering, and I'm sure I couldn't have chosen a better place to do it. Carman is a wonderful person. He's always attentive and supportive from the moment you choose to volunteer. It's located in a wonderful place, full of local culture, very warm and friendly. The children who attend the program are respectful and eager to learn. If you have the opportunity to come! Do it! It will be an unforgettable experience! Wauw. What a experience. Ketut really shows me how life is between the locals. It has given me so much knowledge and joy, and it will definitely be a memory I'll never forget.
