An incredible experience at Casino Van Gompel. The tasks are varied and interesting. There are plenty of opportunities to learn different skills and share ideas. Also great to meet so many other volunteers and locals. The plan for the Casino going forward is very the organization orientated and it was great to play a small part in that. The building itself is very impressive. Can get cold at night, but there are blankets, duvets and hot water bottles provided. Plenty of food also provided, as well as some bikes for transport. Overall I had a fantastic experience and I hope to back sometime.

I have been traveling and volunteering for over one year. I think this is the best place so far! I feel home. Our host, Lawrence is incredibly patient and caring for everybody.The working hour's fair for exchange the amount of foods and having private room for each person. Though, mostly volunteers were speaking Spanish, still there were people speaking English. I honestly think that if various people come here, it will be more enjoyable! Come with friends and have fun while helping Lawrence's work. It is amazing how much he cares for others, and doing the project for people with low incomes.

Lawrence was an amazing host! He really cares about the volunteers and the Casino. He provided all the things in the description (food, a private space, internet, etc). He tries to increase the place as much as the volunteers and him can do it. The Café opens now every Sunday, so you can have a different shift and meet the organization people. The volunteers were so kind, fun and we made plans together to know around Mol and each other. 100% I recommend this place to someone that wants to meet international volunteers, learn new skills and being out of the tourist urban centers of Europe. 👐🏻✨️

It's a wonderful experience! Being all together building this old mansion it's very nice. We connect with each other and a good experience. I keep this place a good souvenirs! It can be cold during the winter but everyone together are there for warm the place!

This experience was amazing ! The work wasn't hard and if you need any help, Lawrence and the others volonteers always helped me. I learned a lot of things like plastering, painting, repairing and a lot more in this abounded building. I met a lot of people from different countries and I am so glad that i met them. I really recommend this experience !

My experience here was very special. Lawrence, the host, is very invested in his project and is very inspiring to see. He tries his best to make you feel welcome and comfortable, and will always try to help in anyway he can. The work hours were respected and he was flexible for the free days, but normally we would have weekends free. It was an amazing opportunity to meet new people and have a cultural exchange. Thank you once again and I can't wait to see the place functional! I highly recommend this experience willing to learn about construction and restoring, and help in social projects.

The Gompel casino was an amazing experience and not what I expected at all! Lawrence is a great host and you can tell that from the first text messages he sends you. He always takes his role as leader and takes his time to learn the way through the doors of your heart and to help you figure out your potential. He is also always open to ideas, suggestions and complaints. The volunteers that you come across with are very unique in my experience and they always look out for each other, in the end you become like a family. The working hours may vary from simple to very hard, but always manageable.

My experience in the Casino was amazing. The team work made me feel like at home from the very first day. And the beauty and history of the castle where just breathtaking. Lawrence is one of the most attentive, communicative, high spirited hosts I've had the pleasure to work with, an incredible leader! His vision for the organization project were most inspirational for me. I learned a lot about restoring : sanding, plastering and painting windows was something I've never done before, and had sooo much fun doing! I hope to come back in the future ❤

What a place for anyone feel alive and active as part of a brillant the organization surrounded with nice personalities; I was seeking for a experience where I would live out of my box to improve my inner self and I totally find that there! Excellent place for collect histories, make friends, connect with the nature, learn new skills (useful skills) and contribute with a good cause! Also the host is a super nice guy with a good heart and great knowledge package!
