The Experience
Nameste freinds, our volunteers can work in an easy environment with students full of motivation waiting to learn something extra beside subjects . Language is not a barier to learn things, volunteers will be taking extra activities classes 3 hour per day in the afternoon as mentioned in the routine to the students aged 6 to 12, except Saturday and Sunday.This will allow the volunteers and students to learn and share the culture, thank you!!

Hello friends, my experience here at Amirit the school in Kathmandu, Nepal has been much more positive than I expected. First of all, Director Sushi, who has been very helpful to me, is an incredible person in the work she does with children in Nepal, in the educational and social sense, and she made me feel very comfortable teaching sports to the children here. The entire Sushi family is special to me. Her husband Iam is a guide and has taken me to several places in Nepal. Her two daughters are very cool, and the children at the school are amazing. I recommend that you come to Kathmandu.

I had a great time at the school. Sushi immediately treats you as family's and does her best to make you feel like home. The kids at the school are also sweet and curious to learn. As mentioned the working hours are relaxed, you finish at around 15:00 and then have to rest of the day to explore or play a bit longer with the kids!

Since the first day, Sushi and her family hosted me in a beautiful way: the are kind, heart-opened, respectful and patience. They provided me three meals at day and a cozy and comfortable room, as written in worldpackers. Everything was good. We celebrated christmas day together in a very nice church, dancing and singing with the local people The school is well organized and structured: clean and tidy. The environment Is joyful! I definitely reccomend this volunteer project!

I was warmly welcomed by Sushi and her family. Because of the Diwali festival, the school was closed, so I only gave arts&crafts the last days of my stay. In the meanwhile I was invited to visit the highlights of Kathmandu, accompanied by Sushi's husband, daughter or sister. Once the children were back, I had a great time with them. They were enthousiast about the activities and the teachers were helping translating when necessary. The children were very polite and the girlshostel very well organized. Great respect for what Sushi is accomplishing with her staff for this children.

We and our team were very happy to receive you as our volunteer and hope to welcome you in future too. All the children enjoyed all the activities and learned many things from you. Since this was our first experience with Worldpakers volunteers, was a success for us, still many things to learn and improve.
