I absolutely loved my experience at Geoversity! This experience isn't for you if you don't like being fully immersed in nature (there will be bugs, mosquitos and your stuff will get a little mouldy… you're in a the organization so it's only natural), but if you enjoy being surrounded by nature, incredible Panamanian food, and learning different ways to live more sustainably, this place is for you! Geoversity has been the perfect detox from a stressful life back home, and a truly unique experience that I will cherish forever 🥰

My time at Geoversity was very enjoyable. We had a great group of other volunteers which made it even better. I loved immersing myself in nature (using the natural swimming pool and pavilion workout area), practicing Spanish with Esme and Angel (the lovely kitchen staff), and the hikes and night walk (seeing so many types of animals). Although we were limited with our permaculture involvement due to multiple school groups, I really enjoyed learning and getting involved with creating Biochar and the full process behind bamboo construction. I'd definitely recommend this experience!

We had the best time at Geoversity. It's a truly beautiful location. We had the best group of volunteers which made the experience so much fun. We loved practicing Spanish with Esme and Angel and they made the best food. We got to join several hikes with school groups for free which was great. Only thing was we didn't get to do as much permaculture as hoped (despite being permaculture volunteers) as it was super busy with school groups. We still loved it though & got to do the bamboo site a few times, bio char and a few garden tasks which was great!

We had a great time and in our two weeks we got to try many different tasks and every day looked different. Its a great experience if you want to learn and work in the jungle. With the hosts Mark and Nico you have the opportunity to improve your knowledge about nature and sustainability a lot as they're very experienced and kind. You mostly help with daily maintenance tasks as well as the bamboo project. You have the possibility to do hikes or use the pool in your free time or spend time with the other volunteers. Would recommend if you are interested in learning and living in the organization.

I really enjoyed the opportunity to stay in the middle of the jungle and learn so much about nature, wildlife and sustainability. It was a nice experience to help in different kind of areas like gardening or cooking local food in the kitchen as well as sometimes stepping out of your comfort zone and doing something completely new. You also have a lot of free time in which you can enjoy the nature or do some hikes in the organization as we did. Apart from that the food of Esmay and Angel was amazing and most of the time I felt welcomed and enjoyed talking to other international volunteers.
