The Experience

Hi, my name is Guido and with my family we live in the area where Mount Etna is the closest to the sea. This area is renowned for its unique soil and microclimate; inevitable conditions if you have a three and a half thousand metres volcano to less than ten km from the coast. Our farm consists of a few plots, all of them a few km close-by one another.

My first experience with World Packers was truly incredible. Guido and Jenny welcomed us with open arms, and we shared many meals, stories, and, most importantly, laughs together. The work wasn't hard, and we always got to enjoy the fruits of our labor (literally!). After long days of work, we were greeted by Jenny and their two wonderful kids, who had incredible personalities and always wanted to play with us. Guido's parents were also amazing and welcomed us into their beautiful home. If you're looking for a fantastic experience, this is it!

Our stay at Guido's farm was our first Worldpackers experience and was absolutely fantastic. We really enjoyed helping out around the farm, and the family is very lovely. We got to try traditional Sicilian foods (Guido's cooking is stellar) and your stay is well cared for. Highly recommend this experience, and we can't wait to go back!

My stay at Guido and Jenny's farm was my first volunteering experience – and it was truly wonderful. I didn't know what to expect, but any expectations would've been more than met. The work was varied, and I learned a lot about farm life in Sicily. I felt very welcome, and the kids were absolute sweethearts. Some tasks were physically demanding, but the stunning views, Mount Etna, and the results of the work made it all worth it. I highly recommend staying here and would love to come back one day. Thanks again for everything! :)

It has been a pleasure to have Luisa as part of the family for three beautiful weeks. The kids, especially Agnese, liked her very much. A big thanks for all your help in the garden, we are really grateful for that. It’ll be hard now to get by without you delicious muffins… All the best and see you next time!
