Was an excellent experience. Really out of my comfort zone but after a couple of days of getting used to Jungle life I felt fine. We had a bit more downtime due to the rain so some of the tasks got moved or unfortunately cancelled but this was made up by the community feel around the camp.

This was my first Worldpackers trip and it was life changer! Working alongside the staff and locals in the area held all of my favorite memories from the trip. The staff is extremely knowledgable and understanding as well. The work they are doing there is just so important, it's not just saving sea turtles, its much more then that. The work to-do leaves you feeling very proud of yourself and much more wiser as a person overall. I did not know about the solo trip listing, as I saw a group trip listing only, so I would have preferred to book the solo trip to save money, but that's all!

I'm staying at the shelter for 10 days and let me tell you how wonderful it is! The food is very good (as long as you like rice and bean haha) and the people very sweet and fun. The work is mostly clean paths, beaches and watching the hatchery. It is really easy and not too long. They have really cool optional activities as caiman tours, bird watching, night walk in the jungles. The staff knows A LOT about nature and will be happy to answer to your questions ! The accommodation is very nice too, just be ready to take cold showers and wash your laundry in the sink ! I highly recommend !
