My experience was amazing! Lorraine, Shodor, and the residents were super friendly and patient with my English. The work was easy, well-divided among volunteers, and time flew by while chatting. Food was always available, which was perfect for me. The location is great, with no transport costs. If you want to improve your English, it's perfect, but for tourism, it may not be as exciting. I highly recommend it and already miss it!

My first volunteer experience was in Leicester. It was one of the best memories I had during my trip to England. The cafe is very organized so it is not difficult at all. You can also take the project classes while working there. It is very peaceful. Lorraine has a very good energy. It must be hard to meet new volunteers every month, but she always has a smile on her face. I think I will miss that place even when I volunteer somewhere else. I definitely want to go back someday. Thank you so much for the wonderful memories.

The expierence was amazing! I had a great time learning about other cultures through the other volunteers and gaining knowledge about coffee related tasks. The staff and the clients were really nice and always kind with the volunteers.

My experience at the project was amazing. Lorraine, Chodor and Bea are very kind and patient and I met amazing people. The deal is exactly what promised: you work 6hs in the café from Tuesday to Saturday and in return you have a bed and a kitchen full of food. Also you get to experience the Maditation clases and the peace they give. Definitely recommended!

This experience allowed me to meet amazing and helpful people, as well as others who could improve their leadership and learn to set better boundaries—especially with younger volunteers. I connected with volunteers from all over the world, and their stories gave me valuable insight into different cultures and ways of living. The place was beautiful, but the real atmosphere depends on the people. When coordinators aren't supportive, it can feel a bit heavy. The work itself was great—I got to help with many café-related tasks and learned a lot along the way. It's an enriching experience

Volunteering at the World Peace Café was a wonderful and enriching experience in every way. I learned how to be a barista and especially how to prepare food. Lorraine, the café manager, is an incredible, charismatic, kind and patient woman. The room was very comfortable and, even though we are not vegetarian/vegan, we always had a full fridge and Lorraine did everything she could to make us feel at home. I was also able to improve my English. Leicester is a cute city, with lots of young people and fun on the weekends, a good place to meet locals or foreigners. Thank you for all! 😊🙏🏻

Volunteering here was my first Worldpackers experience, and I couldn't recommend it more! The team was incredibly kind and welcoming, creating a positive and supportive environment. Lorraine, the manager, and Chodor were both understanding and patient! I had a great time working in the café, everyone had their own tasks, but we always helped each other out whenever needed. It was truly an unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend it!

I was in the center for 3 weeks and I loved it! I met incredible people, I felt welcomed and I also loved the city! Lorraine is one of the best people I have ever met, Chodor and Bea are very kind and it was a gift to spend time with all of them! The work at the café is not difficult, if you dedicate yourself you will have one of the best experiences of your life! I left admiring Buddhism even more! Thank you Lorraine, Bea, Diane, Chodor and thank you for spending time with the dear volunteers who were there with me, they are friendships that I will cherish forever! 😍

This was my first volunteering experience and it couldn't have gone any better! Lorraine, the café manager, Chodor and the whole World Peace Café team were very welcoming, patient and kind people to work with and learn from. Throughout my three weeks there, I got to switch between working as a barista, floor & service, food prep and till, as well as baking and cleaning. I'm also grateful to have caught a glimpse of the local life here and the activities in the buddhist the project! Everything was exactly as agreed upon, hard work but lots of fun. Definitely would recommend :)
