My experience at the guest house has been fantastic. You're completely immersed in nature, the place is stunning, and there's plenty of free time, there's a public onsen 5 minutes far and you can go skiing! The work isn't hard, you can practice the language, learn how to DIY and Ryo, the owner, is a wonderful person—it's hard to find someone who treats people like he does. I had great time in the hostel and with the volunteers with me. I highly recommend this place!!

I really enjoyed my stay at the guest house. Ryo and his wife are great hosts, also Nao (one of the other employees) made my stay into a really nice experience. like other people already said, this place is for when you want to have a brake from the big Urban areas. its calm, the nature there is really beautiful. And the work is also nothing that should be to overwhelming to you. Also I recommend to go to the onsen there. I regret that i didn't check it out earlier

I had a really good time here. Everyone was kind to me, and the work was easy. The onsen nearby was my favorite part. I got to practice my Japanese a lot and the mountains were beautiful. The only downside is that the hostel is a the guest house far from the town and you can't walk there. But overall a really nice experience. Thanks the guest house :)

What an amazing stay at the guest house! All the hosts Nao, Yuzuke and Leo were all very welcoming, helpful and easy to work with/for. The hostel itself was cosy, clean and had everything I needed/expected. The work and hours are super reasonable and I was never asked to do anything that didn't sit right with me or unsafe. The area around the hostel was beautiful and scenic. Not lots of things to do but with plenty of places to hike, the ski resort and the onsen all near by I was perfectly happy during the month I stayed there (March).

Staying at the guest house was one of the most fun experiences in my life. Everyone is very nice and super welcoming. The atmosphere is almost like in a small family. I was teached properly what to do and actualy had a lot of fun cleaning the Japanese stile rooms. I unlocked the new skill of making Futon beds. Because I could talk Japanese daily I definitely improved by a lot. Even though I coild barely say anything in Japanese when I came communication was no problem at all. Sometimes I had to work overtime but then other days where more relaxed.
