The Experience

We run a turtle conservation program since 2016. To support this program, we provide a reading garden as an educational medium for children from an early age to start learning to love the sea and its ecosystem. Apart from that, the organisation is also accompanying the women's group with the main activities of weaving for campaign about save turtle and clean the beach. You will stay with the local and experience authentic local cuisine!

I really enjoyed my stay here! I had never seen baby turtles and here I helped collecting the eggs to keep them in a safe space, then watch them reach the project, it's a very special moment ! I was immersed in local culture with the Nunang family, learning indonesian simple way of life, makan ikan dan tidur! Local people are very friendly and funny, there's plenty of curious kids who want to play and help to clean the beach. There are some nice snorkelling spots and the locals love to party! You mighy see distant volcano erupt at night! Amazing place!Terima Kasih Poly, Ado, Regina dan Keluarga

Unfortunately, due to natural conditions we were not able to reach the project. A volcano in a near island erupted, which made it impossible for us to reach the island. However, Polikarpus tried really hard to help us get there and once we were sure wouldn't be possible he kept in contact with us and sent us videos and photos of the island and the turtles which we really appreciated. We are sad we didn't get to meet him, but all the contact we had was really nice and he made us feel included and involved with the turtles. If we have the opportunity we will for sure be coming (back)!!
