This experience was wonderful! Phonphet, his family, and the locals are amazing. Very welcoming and friendly. Working hours are exactly how it's described. Three meals a day were nice and they are very accommodating to dietary restrictions. If you are looking to be a part of local Laos living this is for you. There is a lot of down time so bring a book and things to do. Do note to bring enough kip for the entire stay. There are no atms on or near the island.

Had an absolutely wonderful time at the guest house. The family were incredibly friendly & communal dinners were a lovely experience. Their two daughters the guest house & Ema are very playful & a joy to look after. I learnt how to make bricks for a new house they were in the process of making. We were given a papaya salad cooking class and I taught english lessons daily. If it wasn't for my visa expiring I would've extended my stay for at least another week. Would 100% recommend.

I had a phenomenal time with Phonephet and the experience I had at his home. I spent 2 weeks there living with the family and volunteers and it was all I could have asked for. It was beyond relaxed, engaging, insightful, and fun. As promoted, there is really only a couple to a few hours of work each day. And the rest of the time is spent relaxing, disconnecting, enjoying unbelievable sunrises and sunsets along the Mekong (some of the best iv ever seen). Being able to spend quality time with a local family living as much of Lao people do was a dream. Sa Sa Kou, and thankyou! I'll be back!

The volunteering was a great experience. Phonphet and his family are very welcoming and the girls are adorable. We where around 6 volunteers and worked for only a few hours a day. In the rest of the you can relax or play with the kids from the village. I had great fun!
