The Experience

We just accept girls :)) In the heart of Portimão, we would be pleased to welcome you to help us in our operation summer. It would be great to have new ideas for events, social media, to have help in reception and in our brunch restaurant and at the same time, you can enjoy this wonderful location in Portugal, that is Algarve. Right in Portimão downtown and offers access to the main attractions in minutes.

This was my first volunteering experience, and I absolutely loved my time at the hostel – I couldn't recommend it more! Anna, her dad, and all the permanent staff are just so lovely – you really feel like part of the team. The work was well-balanced, the hours were good, and I genuinely enjoyed the job. Anna always kept us in the loop about local events, gave great recommendations, and even took us along to some really fun activities in nearby towns. I would go back in a heartbeat. The other girls I volunteered with quickly became like family, which made the experience even more special <3

I stayed at the hostel & restaurant for 4 weeks. I had an amazing time. Ana helped me alot and is very fun. The hours and work is fair. Because i was there in the low season it was a bit too quite for me but the coworkers are very kind! The place is 45 min from the beach and 1 min from the centrum.

I had a wonderful time at the hostel! It was such a great experience especially being hands-on in the restaurant and getting to learn more about Portuguese culture! Hours were fair and explained and allowed for much time to explore Portimão and surrounding areas as well! I recommend this stay to other volunteers and hope to visit again!

I had an amazing time at the hostel! You get a bed in a shared dorm with up to 6 other volunteers, with your own kitchen and bathroom, and you get given breakfast food to make yourself, and every morning you get lunch and dinner and can eat it whenever you like, and the food was amazing! All the permanant staff are friendly and kind, and the work is very easy to pick up. Portimao is a great city to explore the algarve, and you can do overnight trips on your days off. I made amazing friends with the other volunteers and had the best time :) Thank you Anna and Cleiton (and everyone else) :) xx

I had such an amazing time at the hostel!! :)) The communication with Ana was great, hours as agreed and the work not too difficult. The restaurant was quite calm because of low season. The other staff was absolutely lovely. I am now certified to give weather reports in full Portugese thanks to Cleiton and Carla haha :) The volunteers had their own kitchen, showers and toilet which was amazing. Carla's food is delicious and will be severly missed. There was enough free time to explore the Algarve with all the volunteers. We were even lucky enough to be there for Ana's birthday!! Obrigada! :)
