I worked 6 hours per day in the office mainly processing reservations and inquiries and sometimes helped out at the reception. My colleagues were all very caring and helpful. I felt almost like a family member and made a lot of friends, both guests and staff. I learned a lot in terms of culture, religion, nature and hotel business. Most exciting for me were all the free excursions into Tahan the lodge National Park. I will miss the fresh air, the good food and the lovely people. For my first volunteer job it could not have been better. Thank you for amazing 5 weeks at this wonderful location!

It was a real honour to work for the lodge. A place that I've visited many years ago and it still keeps the same care and respect for its visitors. All the staff had the care and loving attention to make me feel welcome and at home. Even if language was a little obstacle sometimes to communicate with some locals, smiles and laughter have always been there to break barriers. I really enjoyed meeting everybody. I worked for one month at the Maintenance dept. doing some woodwork and signage on the site. People were always available to help me and provide anything I needed to do my job.

It was absolutely lovely! Everyone was friendly and welcoming, you get a sense of family here. I was able to unplug and really enjoy nature. I made connections here that I will cherish forever. I was in the kitchen, it was consider busy for a February, which was nice because I got to see all different set ups during my time here. Will be returning here for sure!

Volunteering in the lodge was amazing. The team is so friendly and helpful. I and Maria, my wife, were very well received for all the period that we were there. The work was organized and the garden team is very nice. The food is amazing, we love to know more about the Malaysian food. In addition we can enjoy the beauties of the National Park. I highly recommend volunteering at the lodge, our experience could not have been better!

This experience was really amazing! We had the honor to be the first volunteers in the lodge, and couldn't be better! All the team was so helpful, gentle and lovely with us. We had a lot of cultural exchange and we could learn about the local nature and culture. We received delicious local food, the better way to know about Malaysian food. The facilities are so clean and comfy as well, we woke up every day with the birdsongs :) About the job, we loved to work with the gardening team, the work is well organized. Besides all these good points, we could enjoy the national park! Thank you team!
