The Experience

We seek carpenter volunteers to contribute by constructing, repairing, and customizing structures. Maintenance volunteers handle upkeep tasks to ensure the functionality and appearance of facilities. All the staff is very friendly and helpful. You can learn about culture and talk with a lot of locals. You can also enjoy the beautiful nature and join nice tours. Would definitely recommend it to other travelers.

The location of the resorts is really unique, with tons of nice activities available. The work is easy and relaxed. But can sometimes be a bit lonely because most staff members don't speak English. Although they communicate with their smile. You will get your own private dorm room, that's spacious but lacks a bit of coziness.

The volunteer opportunity was simply amazing. Great environment and, in the oldest rainforest of the freaking world. The nature was breathtaking, good free tours, nice private dorm room, delicious meals, and great smiles of the co-workers, the co-workers were super super friendly and I learned a lot about Malaysian culture. I need to say for me it was a bit lonely because the work was only 3 hours a day. Terima kasih 🙏

I had an incredible experience. This is the ideal place if you truly want to escape the city's routine. You get used to taking a boat to buy something on the other side of the river. Besides that, the connection with the staff was another great aspect. Everyone was willing to talk and share experiences. I learned a lot about Malaysia and also about Islamic customs. I got to see some amazing animals, like the largest snake and scorpion I've ever seen in my life. Keep in mind that during the monsoon season, there might not be much to do during work hours. I highly recommend this experience.

If to remove hundreds of tourists, take all the smokers to the mainland and add more monkeys, then you get heaven on Earth. I helped with the garden. The work is interesting & no difficult. Washed clothes here do not always dry. The food is good, but often spicy. Free excursions and transfer from the capital. Local workers are kind and helpful people. Unfortunately, the hostel had unstable internet and there was no normal table for remote work. Monkeys came almost every day. The forest is amazing, but you can't go far without a guide. This place has amazing energy and I recommend coming here.
