Had a really good experience volunteering here. Riccardo was easy to work with. Everything felt clear and welcoming. The atmosphere at the hostel was relaxed but well-organized, as I was told by a few of the guests during my stay. I met a lot of amazing people. Would recommend to travelers/volunteers. It was great to explore Kutaisi and rural Georgia. It has a lot of interesting natural and cultural variety, as well as events happening throughout the year.

PROS -The house is nice and cozy, and the location is great. -Riccardo is flexible regarding shifts and days off. -Olga (manager) is lovely and always available to help. CONS -It's clear from the beginning that no volunteers are trusted. This results in Riccardo micromanaging everyone from afar (he's not in Georgia), even when things are working. -The amount of work is much bigger than what's agreed upon arrival. Innumerable people were surprised that I was a volunteer, not a paid worker. -No privacy: you'll be watched through the cameras often; your bed will be in a dorm with guests.

I left early as the experience didn't match the role I applied for. The cooking/social position included shopping, cooking, cleaning, prepping breakfast, entertaining, and being constantly expected to sell to guests, too much for one person. Communication happened at all hours, beyond agreed schedules, making it hard to disconnect. Most guidance was remote, which added pressure. I'm sharing this so others can have clearer expectations.

Elizabeth is mostly Busy with her job and other personal chores she stayed really short time and she let us lose a lot of time not the experienced worldpackers she showed to be .
She left without notice after 3 days .
All the expectation are written in the description and a bit of personal organization is expected.

I applied under cat-sitting listing during low season (owner and manager are away). Before confirmation, host did inform me of extra things required to do that is not originally mentioned in the listing like check-in of guests. Most of the housekeeping duties were done by a cleaner who came weekly and I was then asked to fill in a little bit in between, which wasn't too much work. So although there were some extra stuff outside the original agreement, they were reasonable. Cats are well-behaved and easy to manage, I will definitely miss them!
