The Experience

On a campsite there is always something that needs to be done. Building, repairing, creating. We need people that are good with their hands, that are used to work with tools and that are not afraid of getting their hands dirty. We can never tell what needs to be done, things will pop up automaticly. We got all the tools and other handymen of which you can learn a lot. Important: We are looking for people that can stay for at least one month..

I would recommend the camping to volunteer during the summer, just to avoid the low temperatures and cloudy days. The staff and the whole team of volunteers were amazing, super nice and friendly people. The campsite wasn't completely finished in the first month, so we had a lot of work in different areas and managing our own working hours. In the end they were respected and Arnoud was really flexible with the schedule.

I had a very nice experience at the camping. I've met amazing people with whom I made great memories with. The deal with food was very fair. Atmosphere around the campsite is cozy, and the toilet units are good. The only thing I had a little problem with was no schedule, so it was quite hard to plan upcoming days for museums and other activities. Nice thing was that Arnoud was always flexible to adjust it if we needed to do so. Overall, I will really miss this place

I stayed at the camping with my friend for 6 weeks and had overall a very nice time. At first I was a bit sceptic, because we didn't exactly have any schedule and were the first ones to arrive, but after few days spent with other volunteers I felt truly like at home. The tasks were okay- first we were mostly doing cleaning and reception, later also gardening and general maintenance. Although I think there are some things to improve, I must say that it was an amazing experience for meeting international travellers, who I believe I made a long-lasting friendship with:)

Thanks Arnoud, for receiving me in your Camping, and thrust in me and my committment to colaborate. This experience helped me to connect with nature, other volunteers, and specially to connect with my self. To accept me, and love me more, since I was more with nature and apart from City and regular distractors.

I have had a great experience volunteering for Arnoud, he is a freindly guy who has always treated me with complete respect. The work is fair and everybody I've worked with here has treated me not like they are my boss but like we are equals working together. Staying at the camping ground I also made freinds with a lot of Dutch locals and we often got together for a BBQ. I also liked that I had my own comfortable private space and also had the freedom to cook for myself while still being reimbursed for the cost of the groceries.
