Such a nice place. There are a lot of different activities to do, so you won't get boring doing everyday the same. And always looking at an amazing landscape. We also had some Korean lessons (thanks Juliette!) For the food I have no words, honestly exceed my expectations. It's mainly without meat, but so delicious and many options. I'll keep the apple jam in my heart forever πŸ₯ΉπŸŽ

Well I don't have words o describe this experience. First of all I'm grateful with the monks and sunims to gave me this opportunity. We live, work, eat and meditate together. It's a peaceful place surrounded by nature with a good view of the mountains and definitely here you will change your habits for a good habits you gonna sleep early, wake up early, eat healthy, physical activities, the Center etc. The sunims are always in a good mood happy smiling and they show you appreciation of your work and your time here. It's an experience that definitely I recommend it to anyone.

We feel very fortunate for his joining us; the dormitory building of the meditation center has been revitalized because of his talents. His personality is so calm, elegant, and empathetic. He always expresses progress in work with humility and respect. He possesses many skills and talents. But what is even more impressive is his attitude towards work, which is as excellent as his skills. Volunteers like him are rare, demonstrating outstanding performance in both ability and character. Everyone at the meditation center loves him not only his talents but also his personality.

My experience was amazing, I learned a lot from the sunims and fellow travelers. The work was usually very light and the food was amazing. They were very respectful and made sure to take good care of the volunteers. The vibes were also amazing, I recommend this experience to anyone interested.

Thank you so much Buddha Forest! I had an amazing time. The temple is in a beautiful spot overlooking the mountains with a perfect view of sunrise as well as some good hiking tracks around. Everyone living and staying there were so kind and generous. The work can be physical especially for the guys but absolutely worth it. It gives a real understanding of where our food comes from and slow, sustainable living. Speaking of which the food was delicious and there was more than enough to go around. It was amazing to learn so much about Korean Buddhism the Center. I would absolutely recommend!

I didn't know what to expect before I came here but it is really great. You can choose if you want to work 5 hours a day and have 2 days a week off or work 3,5 hours a day with no days of. The work is simple, most of the time gardening, sometimes housekeeping or kitchen work. On hot days they will bring you cold drinks or tea when you work outside and make sure that you have enough break time. Everyone is super friendly and cares for your wellbeing. In the evening you can take part in the group the Center. You can try and spend your time here in silence to improve your the Center. Best place!

The volunteering experience is really amazing for many reasons. First, the Center is located beautifully in nature. Second of all, there are so many different tasks that volunteers can do, and I love this so much. This help me to choose tasks that I can learn more. Third, they provided us with three delicious and local Korean food. Furthermore, there were other volunteers that I really enjoyed spending time with. Also, the Center provides full experience for volunteers. We were able to do the Center, yoga classes, and Korean language lesson.

This is a really special place. No distractions, meaningful work and grateful people. Beautiful views all around, in peace and quiet. I discovered the Center there and progressively dedicated more time to it during my stay, thanks to Hye Wol Sunim's teachings. I worked on a variety of tasks, from farming and gardening to wook working, helping the sunims live sustainably. Everyone make sure you finish on time, and they are always thankful for your work. I'd return in a heartbeat!
