My experience was amazing, I learned a lot from the sunims and fellow travelers. The work was usually very light and the food was amazing. They were very respectful and made sure to take good care of the volunteers. The vibes were also amazing, I recommend this experience to anyone interested.

Thank you so much Buddha Forest! I had an amazing time. The temple is in a beautiful spot overlooking the mountains with a perfect view of sunrise as well as some good hiking tracks around. Everyone living and staying there were so kind and generous. The work can be physical especially for the guys but absolutely worth it. It gives a real understanding of where our food comes from and slow, sustainable living. Speaking of which the food was delicious and there was more than enough to go around. It was amazing to learn so much about Korean Buddhism the Center. I would absolutely recommend!

I didn't know what to expect before I came here but it is really great. You can choose if you want to work 5 hours a day and have 2 days a week off or work 3,5 hours a day with no days of. The work is simple, most of the time gardening, sometimes housekeeping or kitchen work. On hot days they will bring you cold drinks or tea when you work outside and make sure that you have enough break time. Everyone is super friendly and cares for your wellbeing. In the evening you can take part in the group the Center. You can try and spend your time here in silence to improve your the Center. Best place!

Yannik gave us great confidence in accepting volunteers from all over the world. Through him, we realized that the volunteers come to this place so that we can support and care for each other. His earnest work ethic earns him praise from everyone. Even at such a young age, his sincere attitude gained the favor of all. He is a humble and polite man. We feel honored that he wanted to come and be a part of us. This place has always been open to him, anytime.

The volunteering experience is really amazing for many reasons. First, the Center is located beautifully in nature. Second of all, there are so many different tasks that volunteers can do, and I love this so much. This help me to choose tasks that I can learn more. Third, they provided us with three delicious and local Korean food. Furthermore, there were other volunteers that I really enjoyed spending time with. Also, the Center provides full experience for volunteers. We were able to do the Center, yoga classes, and Korean language lesson.

This is a really special place. No distractions, meaningful work and grateful people. Beautiful views all around, in peace and quiet. I discovered the Center there and progressively dedicated more time to it during my stay, thanks to Hye Wol Sunim's teachings. I worked on a variety of tasks, from farming and gardening to wook working, helping the sunims live sustainably. Everyone make sure you finish on time, and they are always thankful for your work. I'd return in a heartbeat!

I had a lovely stay at the temple. The mountains surrounding were beautiful. Work is diverse, mostly related to farming but you can also help make some decorations, or help in maintenance ...etc The food was delicious mostly vegetarian but you have some days with meat as well. The accommodation was clean. We had some the Center classes, and a yoga class. No Korean classes at that time but I got to practice with all the friendly monks so it's a great opportunity to improve! Note that because the place is remote, it can be difficult to have internet coverage so download you maps before

I stayed there for 3 weeks and I think that was the best decision I made. The temple is on a beautiful mountain with an amazing view. It is very peaceful and anyone who likes nature will enjoy the stay. This volunteering teaches you some routine and more about slow living. The work was not too hard and it was diverse. Also, I this place is good for those who are interested the Center (or wants to learn it). I reccommend this place for whoever wants to experience a life in nature.

This is a great place for people who are interested the Center want to experience the countryside in South Korea. If you enjoy doing physical work outside, this is the place for you. There is beautiful nature surrounding the temple as well. You share the work with other volunteers from all over the world.
