The Experience

We have recently bought an old mill property which we have been renovating for 2 years now! We have four kids and need some help with the massive garden. Could do with a hand painting if raining and outside strimming, helping build paths etc. Set on 17 acres, surrounded by a river, it’s beautiful here. The area is surrounded by vineyards and rolling sunflower fields.

Staying with Lisa, Peter, and the children was an absolutely incredible first world Packers experience. I went with my partner Alec, and we were immediately welcomed with open arms by the whole family. Work was extremely manageable, and the tasks were flexible - this included things like gardening, feeding their animals, helping with renovations or even just making dinner for the family. They truly are an incredible bunch!! I would recommend the farm for anyone who has a keen interest in sustainability, and doesn't mind getting a bit grubby in the garden! I would return in a heartbeat! Tysm!

Had a good stay with Lisa and Peter's family over the 2 weeks I was there. They are really kind people and great fun to talk too about not only the local life but their life in Ireland. The work was easy mostly consisting of gardening and clearing out buried garbage on the old property. Also destroyed a ceiling inside the house. Lisa is a good cook and makes tasty meals. We had access to bikes which made it really easy to explore the area and they also gave a us a few lifts to markets which was nice of them. Highly recommend:)
