This hostel was a great way to recharge in the middle of our trip. Punta Hermosa is a quiet, small town perfect for relaxation. Yarin is a very welcoming host and will always invite you to activities/meals around Punta Hermosa. Felipe is also an amazing surf instructor! There are three 4-hour shifts that you will rotate through (depending on the number of volunteers). Just keep in mind, if you volunteer as friends/couples, you won't have the same days off. I really recommend this experience for those who want to slow down, surf, and go to the beach!

I had great time volunteering here! The vibe of the hostel is very nice and chill and I loved to explore the town and take walks on the beach. This is also a great place to meet other travellers. Yarin is super friendly and funny host and I felt very comfortable with all the people here. Felipe is a great surf teacher and easy to get along with. The work was easy and exactly as described, at first I felt like I'm running out of things to do/don't know what to do, but you learn while you do it. I learned a lot here, had great conversations and met nice people, would absolutely recommend.

It was my first time volunteering and it was super nice, Yarin and Felipe are super nice, and super easy to communicate with them. If you like to surf, here you will be surrounded by a lot of beaches where you can surf! And it's a cute little town. Unfortunately I had to leave before it ended due to personal reasons. I was honest and spoke with them. They totally got it and supported my decision. You will like it!

This was my first volunteering opportunity abroad, and it ended up being one of the most memorable parts of my trip. Cooking never felt like a chore, it felt like a shared experience from trips to the local market in Lurin to experimenting with traditional Peruvian recipes. I learned a lot and had fun too. Yarin and Felipe were kind, generous and welcoming hosts. They truly made the place feel like home, not just accommodation. Would highly recommend this place to volunteers looking to improve their surfing whilst connecting with good people and culture.

I have no complaints about my stay here at the hostel! The shifts and duties were exactly as promised, with no surprises. The host Yarin was very accommodating and super friendly and easy to get along with. Felipe (surf instructor) is an amazing and patient teacher. The hostel vibes are super chill and the guests and other volunteers were awesome. I painted a whole wall muraI here too! I will come back 100% (in the high season), even as a guest. Made friends for life :)
