The Experience

We’re a small hostel right by the sea - scenic, peaceful, and often sunny! We opened in 2016 and have built a strong “boutique hostel” reputation over the years. We’re looking for a responsible, genuine, and cheerful person to help out. Our guests are mostly hikers, amateur sailors, birdwatchers, school and uni groups, and plenty of fish-and-chips lovers. We’ve had consistently great reviews, and a big part of that is down to our awesome helper

It's been a pleasure! Jimmy, the manager, is a sociable guy, always ready for helping, having a beer, running, hiking and so on. The work is easy to do: you start by 10AM, and it consists on cleaning bathrooms and the kitchen, doing beds and vacuuming the hostel. Working in the morning normally takes you 2h and 1/2, so it's very fair. In the afternoon, it's check-in time, which is also quite simple. In your free time, you can run, hike, play pull, read, listen to live music, have some drinks, and so on. 100% recommendable. Thanks for all and see you soon, guys!

It was a great experience, Jimmy is very cool, funny, and always attentive, without a doubt I would come back! The hostel is very nice and has a room with a projector to watch movies! the city is very quiet but always has a good time with the people of the hostel!

My first experience of volunteer, it's awesome. The job is easy and every day I have a lot of free time. The team is cool. Jimmy always makes you laugh more . You can meet a lot of people and some of them are interesting and very nice. At last, I don't want to leave, haha.

To work in the hostel was a great experience! The city is small and the hostel is just in front of the sea. The job is easy to be done and usuallly doesn't take more then 4 hours a day. Cleaning time in the morning and at 4pm the check-in happens! Jimmy is a very kind person, it was really nice to work with him! I would recommend the place to anyone who's looking for a peaceful and frindly atmosphere to work.

I enjoyed volunteering at this hostel a LOT! The work is pretty easy-- about 2 hours of cleaning rooms in the morning, and then being available to check guests in after 4pm. There is a schedule that is quite fair, and allows everyone to have time to plan time outside of the hostel and travel around Fife! It's a quiet, peaceful town, but with lots of cute fishing towns within walking distance or short bus ride. I loved the hostel, and the guests who stay there are of a nice variety. I loved working here, and would recommend it to anyone who wants some beauty and the peace to enjoy it!
