The experience

We’re a small hostel right by the sea - scenic, peaceful, and often sunny! We opened in 2016 and have built a strong “boutique hostel” reputation over the years.

We’re looking for a responsible, genuine, and cheerful person to help out. Our guests are mostly hikers, amateur sailors, birdwatchers, school and uni groups, and plenty of fish-and-chips lovers.

We’ve had consistently great reviews, and a big part of that is down to our awesome helper

What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Discounts on Accommodation: Get discounts for your stay in other hostels.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Program Details

You would be working 5 days a week with two full consecutive days off. Most days you will work the morning and have the afternoon free unless you are scheduled on for the day, and in exchange for your volunteering, you will receive free accommodation, laundry facilities, free tea/coffee, WiFi.

Activities & Shift

Like most hostel experiences our daily work consists largely of the cleaning (bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas) and guest check ins/ interactions.
We also would love to get a hand on any creative activities, social media, photography let us know if you're able to bring on your little extra!

We're kindly asking the helpers to keep in mind we're a business, responsibility and mindfulness towards guests, team and hostel itself.
We wish to run the place at a low environmental cost, energy saving, recycling and do our bit to save the planet.
