This was my first worldpackers experience, and it absolutely didn't disappoint. You're staying with a Nepalese family (and Sylvia<3) that abounds in warmth and hospitality, so even though you're in Austria you get to know Nepalese Sherpa culture and food, which is SO tasty. The location is phenomenally gorgeous and has a lot to offer. Just be aware that it's quite isolated, so it's good to have your own activities for free time, like me: studying languages. Everything here is very peaceful and slow pace. The tasks were very easy and if you're eager to help, the experience is perfect!

The guest house is a really beautuful place and the skiing is really fun. It is newly run by a lovely Nepalese family. They showed me some Nepalese and Austrian cuisine and the time in the kitchen was great. I also really enjoyed working at the bar and serving guest. Yet I wouldn't recommend coming in a quiet month like january if you are looking for a social experience. There were barely any guests or work and I was the only volunteer there so I started feeling quite lonely. I ended up leaving early because of that, yet that wasn't the hosts fault and I could see it being great in a busier time

I had a great time at the guest house with my girlfriend. It's a holiday basically. The shifts are easy and last only 5 hours or less so you have a lot of free time to explore the beautiful surroundings. But I wouldn't recommend it to a non-hiker. You should love hiking and the mountains. There is additional equipment you can borrow for free (such as ferrata set or hiking poles). The food was really good and the staff were friendly and welcoming. One detail for couples: if you want free time together, tell them in advance. The superiors (Andrea and Frank) are helpful and willing to meet you halfway.
