The Experience

We grow up 1,500 olive trees on the hill with beautiful scenery, and we also run a guest house and cafe. We need many helps for olive farming, cafe, cleaning the guest house, carpenter, gardening or so on. All things are very artistic, we want to make my farm into art farm. Let's enjoy with us!

Oki-san was very nice, welcoming, very flexible and understanding. He provides delicious meals and a wonderful place to stay. Working in the farm area is hard work but fun. Working the guest house is a nice break from the farm in the middle of the day.

The food was so good, I decided to stay forever 🤩 Ok only half joking… my stay with Oki san has been nothing short of incredible. He is caring and flexible, always taking care of his volunteers and showing an interest in their backgrounds and culture. Him and the Oki olive team are so fun to interact with, even if you don't speak Japanese! Definitely bring clothes to get dirty in as farm work IS farm work, but all working conditions are exactly as stated. 10000/10 recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Me and my girlfriend had an excellent time at Oki Olive Garden. We enjoyed delightful meals he made for us and learning about Japanese culture and about his life. Our time was split between gardening/ farming and cleaning the guest house and had time to ourselves after finishing work. We weren't there in harvesting season so we were the only volunteers, but during harvesting time there could be as many as 20 other volunteers. It was a great experience, I would highly recommend.

Our experience at Oki Olive was great. Oki-San is a good host and will enjoy sharing Japanese traditions and his passion for cooking with you. The working hours are usually splitted between the house cleaning and the farm work which is a great balance. Kirin-San and Kiruma-San, the two farm employees are very friendly and will share their knowledge on olive farm management. If you come to the farm, be sure to have your Japanese driving translated as you will be able to explore the region.

We spent a month at the farm and had a great time. The place was perfect for us who were looking for outdoor work and peace away from the city. Oki San let us use the car as much as we wanted so we could explore (life on the farm is easier if you can drive). The work could be challenging sometimes as it was more hours than what we were used to (3 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon.) Work in the fields can also be a little physical but manageable if you are fit. Oki San is a great host, really passionate about food which also makes him a great cook. Thank you again !See you in France!
