Help us reshape our stunning lodge in Malaysia

The Worldpackers experience at the lodge was very rewarding. We were immersed in Malaysian and Chinese culture and learned a lot from interacting with locals. The eco-village concept is excellent, with a spacious, beautiful environment and adorable animals. However, we spent a lot of time alone, which was fine for us as a pair but might not suit solo travelers who dislike solitude. The missions were enjoyable, though we were disappointed to mostly do cleaning. Overall, the team is very friendly, and I recommend it.

Tan and Kim were welcoming, they introduced us to the local gastronomy, the place is soothing, there are animals, swimming pool greens spaces and rest areas. We took care of the turtles, the dog, the rabbit cage, raked leaves, even did a cooking class, and some gardening. The accommodation was quite comfortable but lacked cleanliness. The place is a 40-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur, and there are traffic jams so we were pretty isolated. The experience is better by pairs, at the risk of getting bored. There were no other Worldpackers. Thanks for this experience. Esther & Rose

The place is 30-40 min from KL, take a taxi because public transport is slow. The WPhouse has 4 rooms (7 people) and 1 bathroom. No other amenities. The kitchen, dining room and internet are in the main house (5 min). The schedule is from 9am to 5pm with 2 hours of lunchtime. The tasks are: taking care of a dog and 2 turtles, cleaning the 4 guest houses, the main house and the cafeteria, farming, gardening and some other extra activities outside the schedule requested by the owner. If you are vegetarian, some days you will have to cook for yourself. Other days we go out to eat together.

Thank you Kim and Tan. the farm is wonderful. The work they do with the children is beautiful. My experience as a volunteer was positive. Firstly, I really enjoyed being able to contribute to a meaningful cause. However, I expected to work in the garden and take care of the animals, but during the period I was there, the tasks mostly involved cleaning the houses. Overall, it was a satisfactory experience, but I believe there are some improvements that could be made.

My experience in the lodge was quite good, the people there are so nice and helpful, I recommend it to couples or pairs volunteers as there was only me at that time, most of the tasks were simple, Kim the host was a very fun person and always smiling and helpful and she tried her best to show me local foods and local places, as she was taking me every week to local restaurants, the only problem I faced there was with food, as i'm not a big fan of Chinese cuisine.

Me and my Friend Charlotte volunteered at the lodge for a month and it was a very nice experience. The accomodation and the food were amazing and the work for the most part easy and fun.Kim, the owner, took us out to restaurants , to go swimming and to an art-gallery. A woman named Tan looked after us and was super kind and welcoming. But there's not many people at the farm, so I would recommend to volunteer with a friend.

The lodge Talim is a great place and it's a very exciting time to be part of the project. Kim and her staff couldn't be more helpful and accommodating. Our accommodation was perfect, the food even better and the tasks were simple and often fun. We were regularly taken out to explore markets, eat at local restaurants or try street food Kim is really dedicated to providing the best possible experience for volunteers. I love this place and look forward to coming back. The only thing that you should be aware of is the possibility working with children if they have a school trip. It was great.
