DARUL TA'LIM 知竹圆

We are located close to nature. In addition to our eco-lodge, we have 18 abandoned houses that we plan to transform into a cultural street, aiming to have a positive impact on the local community and the environment. Here, you can share your opinions and utilize your skills, and together, we can exchange ideas to make this place more attractive to the public. Furthermore, we have a small farm with chickens, rabbits, goats, and a vegetable farm primarily for visitors to explore. These farms also become our teaching materials for children during holiday camps. If you have an interest in interacting with animals, we would like to enhance the farm environment to ensure the animals' comfort.

I would like to make friends from diverse backgrounds, and I enjoy traveling to learn and expand my horizons so that I can bring back meaningful messages to share with those around me. I hope that everyone who comes to my place can relax both their body and mind. Currently, I have a small team of workers with me, including one teacher and assistant, one cook, one housekeeper, one gardener, and two maintenance workers. We can all support and learn from each other, and I look forward to meeting new people and introducing and sharing the Malaysian culture with you!

I really enjoyed my time at Darul Talim, it’s a nice place on the countryside where you can enjoy being in nature. Miss Tan & Madame Kim were so lovely and accomodating to anything we needed and any questions we had were answered! Miss Tan also organised some activities for us outside of the working hours for all the volunteers to enjoy together and explore the city which I thought was so kind! The work itself was very manageable and something new everyday. I really enjoyed learning about the culture and spending time with all the animals! I would 100% recommend to volunteer here!

Great experience! I was very well received from the first day. Everyone is very kind and makes us feel comfortable at the place.
The work is very relaxed, the food is good, and there’s excellent cultural immersion.
If you like being surrounded by nature in a calm place, I highly recommend it.
I am very grateful for the time I spent here.

Spending three months surrounded by the beautiful nature of Darul Ta’lim was a wonderful experience for me. The place is peaceful, and the volunteer work is meaningful. The accommodation is good and fully equipped. Madam Kim and Ms. Tan made me feel like part of the family — they took us to see and experience the rich diversity of cultures in Malaysia.
Thank you 😊

Darul Ta'lim is a place that connects you with nature. Madame Kim and Miss Tan are amazing; they introduced us to local cuisine and led volunteer tours on some days. The tasks are relaxed and they always respect our schedules. Food was a challenge, as we're not used to Chinese cuisine, but we can cook if needed. Sakura, the house dog, is very sweet and needy. If you can, give her attention and walk her at least twice a day. 🙏🏻
agradecemos imensamente por nos receber ❤
