This shelter is fully equipped with all the amenities and facilities that are needed to provide the dogs a very humane environment. The staff members are very friendly, helpful and professional. The living areas are very cozy and well equipped for cooking. We got a clean accommodation. I can only recommend this experience to volunteers who love dogs. We are really grateful for this experience and hopefully we will come back soon to help some more next year. 🙏 Thank you for everything ❤️

ARA is the perfect shelter to start your worldpacker journey with. They offer a good accommodation with lots of volunteers, all devoted to better the lives of the dogs. The way the shelter is organised is super clear and all in best conditions for the dogs. Leaving the place I felt very sad, but more for me missing the dogs and the people then for the dogs themselves, as I know they will continue to be loved and well taken care off. What was particularly amazing was the dogtrainer Hugo who would offer traininglessons twice a week! I learned a lot about dog (and human) behaviour through him!

I truly enjoyed my stay at ARA!! The task were easy and you had plenty of time to socialize with the adorable dogs/cats <3 Also the staff is amazing!!! Everything is well communicated and organized. I definitely recommend this experience and can't wait to go back one day :p

Such an amazing experience!! I stayed for 2 weeks and it wasn't long enough ! Getting to know all the animals and how much effort the staff and volunteers put in each day to care for them all was amazing! I was a bit nervous as it was my first time solo travelling but everyone was so welcoming and kind. The shifts were great and there was so much free time to go and explore around the towns. Couldn't recommend this more will definitely be back :)

My stay at ARA lasted for two weeks and was lovely in so many ways. Every new arriving volunteer gets a good and detailed introduction tour so everything is clearly from the beginning and they are very good at communicating. The accommodations are great and it's a fair amount of work per week, even though the work barely feels like work since it's so enjoyable. Being around the lovely animals has been amazing, and you get at lot of time to socialize with them during the shifts. ARA is doing an incredible job and I'm grateful that I had the opportunity to be a part of if.🥰🙏🏼

I enjoyed my stay to its fullest. The staff is very carying (towards the animals as well as towards the volunteers). The animals there enjoy the best treatment you could imagine for a shelter: It is taken care of good health care, they spent much time with other dogs during the day and play in many different big and lovely built dog parks. You can reach everything you want by uber (e.g. going to the beach, if you want even with a dog from the shelter). The accomondations are also great, you have everything you need to have a great time

My time at ARA was amazing! I loved it so much. The crew and volunteers gave their whole energy and commitment to the dogs. I believe that this is the reason, why you get along with each other so well and that the atmosphere that get's created is so loving, fun and relaxed. The love for the animals keeps everyone together. I would highly recommend the experience to everyone that loves animals and would do everything for them. The work itself was pretty easy, once you do it a few times and know the routines. The dogs and cats are all very sweet and loving. You will have a great time here!❤️

ARA was a wonderful experience for me! At first, the area was overwhelmingly large for me, but you get used to it and find your way around very quickly. The same goes for the shifts - you get used to it and become more confident from day to day. The people there are all very nice and helpful, as are all the other volunteers you meet there. You learn a lot of new things - culturally, socially and in dealing with and socializing with different dogs and cats. I thank ARA for the experience and recommend it for everyone! I already miss it and definitely want to come back! Thank you ARA!
