I stayed in the project for one week and I loved it<3 If you like to get you hands dirty and learn by doing this is your place… I learned a lot about premaculture and sustainability;))The place is nice (don't expect luxury, it's in the middle of the nature so there are insects ) and Manrique is a super nice host! Normally we used to work in the mornings and we did some activities like going to the beach at the afternoons:)

As my first volunteer place, I absolutely loved it! The host and everyone I meet had an amazing vibe and they were super welcoming! After a delicious included breakfast, we worked as a team on a variety of neat projects to help improve the property and build sustainably! Definitely bring clothes you can sweat and get dirty in:). The afternoon was relaxed with the option to paint, sleep and chill. Most evenings we went to the beach with the option to try surfing! Some highlights for me were free salsa dancing nights and watching the sunset.

I would love to volunteer at the project again! I wish I had stayed longer! The property is very nice and Manrique was such a great host! He shared lots of knowledge on the bio construction work we were doing and Costa Rica in general. He also did many activities with us like organizing a pizza night, taking us to surf at the beach, taking us to a local salsa night and more. Would highly recommended volunteering at the project!

Manrique was a phenomenal host! He is extremely accommodating, takes you to local events and get togethers and provides traditional breakfast, he truly immerses you in the culture. As for the work he doesn't draw it out just to reach hours and he helps you understand the specific jobs you are doing, how to do them and what their purposes are. He's very charismatic and cultured person I could not recommend this project enough.

I really enjoyed the time with Manrique. He's a welcoming host who helps you whenever you have a question. His place is sorrounded only with nature and you'll never have a stressfully day. We can go surfing with him, where he gives us a free lesson to get in touch with the sport and also it's possible to join a free dance lesson at the Selina hostel. I would love to come back, to stay here another time. I can really recommend this place
