Manrique is a phenomenal host. He warmly welcomes you into his home and into his daily life activities allowing you to have a more authentic experience. Manrique showed me much kindness and gave me insights into his own personal philosophies and local practices that were truly inspiring. The work is varied and encourages you to try new things. Also the surf can be really good! Overall an amazing experience!

This was my first time out of the country, first Worldpackers, and first time working as a content creator—and I'm grateful that Manrique was my host! I learned to surf, flew a drone, went Latin dancing, and gained tons of new skills. The host's website had super helpful info, communication was great, and I always felt safe. Breakfast was amazing, the local community is warm and welcoming, and the ocean was awesome. I would love to come back!

I loved my time at the project and definitely wasn't there for long enough. Thank you Manrique for a beautiful week. So much music, water, building, good conversation and good company.

I had the most amazing time here. Manrique was such a great host. We had loads of activities to do and the work was good fun!We spent most of the time building the clay house which was really cool. It's a bit of a walk from the beach but you can hire tuktuks to take you around and there's a supermarket just down the road :)

Loved my experience here! Honestly wish I did another week. The work is pretty chill and actually really fun. I learned a lot about the importance of sustainability, recycling, and it motivated me to do something similar some day. Manrique is one of the chillest guys you'll meet. I got to meet a lot of his local friends and experience really what it's like to live in Nosara as a local. You'll surf, dance, and have some groovy jam sessions. Great experience, hope to return back someday.

The project felt like home. Manrique was welcoming and integrated us all into his daily life so easily; we got to see his band perform and there were plenty of salsa nights, drum circles, surfing lessons/practice and also time for yourself when needed. As for the project/work itself: AMAZING. Go learn to mix and build with clay! I loved every minute of it, and also being a part of the progress on the chicken coop was so rewarding.

This experience was overall very fun! We met great people from around the world, and all connected instantly. We spoke mainly English, but learned a bit of Spanish along the way. Outings like surfing, restaurants, and markets were common and always great- usually about a 15 min drive. The work was hard but manageable, and i'm excited to see the final result! Manrique's father, Marco, was there to help out due to the amount of people, and he was always willing to help. Manrique knows a lot about Costa Rica and I felt like I was always learning! I would definitely recommend staying here.

As my first volunteer experience I couldn't have asked for a better place to be. From the start, Manrique made me feel welcome and introduced me to the local culture. Most of the time, I volunteered solo, however it was no problem at all. The work at the finca is quite easy, and if you have some new things you want to try while you are there, Manrique is all about creativity and inspiration (and of life philosophy too) Beyond the Finca, there were always fun activities like jam sessions, salsa lessons, surfing and beach volleyball! Making it at the end, really hard to leave the place
