My experience with Manrique's exceeded all my expectations. It felt like summer camp in the best way possible and the time spent volunteering never felt like work. I got to see the entire process of how the clay was made, from straining and mixing it and got to work with metal as well. Manrique also organized group activities throughout the week, which were a great way to bond with other volunteers and get to see the local culture.

Such an amazing experience at the project! Felt like a little family away from home for a short while. Manrique is a very kind, knowledgable, understanding and down to earth guy. I feel like I got so much out of my stay here, yummy breakfast every day, work hours were only a couple a day, but even then I learnt so much - Building clay walls, gardening, organising and fixing things. During down time we'd go to salsa night, surf a lot, connect with locals over music and art and much more.Manrique is so well connected with the community, the perfect place to come if you want to immerse yourself

Mi experiencia en el proyeto fue MÁGICA, es una tierra hermosa, pero también fue gracias a Manrique Desde el primer día fue amable, flexible y muy humano. Siempre estuvo atento a que yo y los demás estuviéramos cómodos, aprendiendo y disfrutando. Nos llevó a miles de paseos por la zona y nos mostró rincones ocultos. Me enseñó sobre la vida en Nosara, su historia, su energía. Me enamore de la vida y la energía aquí! Volvería sin pensarlo mil veces

I know everyone says it in the reviews but the host is truly amazing and arguably the best host you could ever ask for. For this reason alone I would consider this place. I learned so many new things and found lots of new hobbies to keep practicing back home. The work itself was fulfilling and I learned a lot. My overall experience was very grounded and spiritual, exactly what I was looking for!

Manrique is wonderful! He is very kind and communicative. Work tasks and fun activities are clearly defined and agreed upon ahead. It felt like the right balance between full days and down time. Surfing and capoeira were a blast! I am so grateful for my time at the project and highly recommend!

I stayed here for almost a month and I really enjoyed my experience. The place, the people, and the vibe were all amazing. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back someday

I had a great time at the project with Manrique and the crew. I met some great people and by staying with Manrique I was able to get more of a local's experience. He is a fantastic surf instructor and a positive and helpful person. The work was very interesting and we were always doing a bunch of activities like going out dancing. The finca is a little bit out of the way but Manrique great about giving people lifts and there are things tuk tuks to get around. I really enjoyed my stay

I had an amazing time here, I only stayed for one week but would have loved to stay longer. The living areas are basic but you have everything you need. Manrique has a range of different tasks and projects, for example, I helped with gardening and building a wall made out of natural materials. Manrique is a really great person and welcomes you into his surfing and salsa lifestyle, and he also arranged a cooking and Spanish lesson for us too. I can't wait to come back one day!

I stayed at the project for about a month and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Manrique is a great host and makes you feel very welcomed. He invited me and the other guests to his band practices, parties, and salsa nights. I was also very happy with the housing arrangement. I had my own room for most of my stay and the kitchen had everything I needed. I also took a few days to travel to La Fortuna in the middle of my stay and Manrique helped me plan the trip. I had a wonderful time at the project and could not recommend it enough.
