My experience at the hostel was amazing ! The managers and staff are really kind and helpful and will make you feel welcome. Don't hesitate to chat with them and ask for recommendations ! Teamwork was great, with staff and other volunteers. The work is as described, we were able to finish early most of the days and I had the opportunity to explore around a lot after work, do daytrips the hostel free days and experience the local culture in Beitou. There are many good food options nearby the hostel and also hot springs resorts if you feel like having a chill time. 100% worth it !

I had a the most lovely stay in the hostel. The area is so nice : 5 min walking from the main line of subway, many restaurants, a vibrant night market, cafes. The staff is so open, always willing to help you. Do not be shy , make the first step! They can be busy but as soon as you show your interest they are the sweetest. Sunny puts so much effort into create an international environnement (staff diner are the best, so yummy) This experience will forever be in my heart.

Everyone of the staff was super nice and welcoming and they helped me out with even the smallest things when they had time (even with small things like booking a movie ticket). The working hours are also really nice, while it said in the application we had time work till 12, most of the times we didn't work longer then 2 hours. It's a bit inconvenient that work is in the middle of the day, but it's a hostel so cleaning time then is quite normal.

Volunteering at this place was nice. Working hours were alright depending on the number of guests checking out. But most of the time we were done before the agreed time. It started at 12 so we could sleep a little longer and visit the morning market around the corner ;) The area is awesome There are some onset baths around. It is not too downtown Taipei but the train is 5 minutes away which goes directly to the center. It is also close to Tamsui which has a nice beach. The staff was really welcoming as were the other international traveller. Recommend it if you want to stay in Taipei ;)

This hostel is perfect for every volunteer who love to interact with the locals and learn the culture. Sunny and her team are loving to show you the local side of this town and the local food. We also cooking together and exchange some recipes. The duty is changing bedsheets and cleaning, which really get fast finish , so that you have time for the rest of the day. The place is near some hot springs, a beautiful library, a morning market and it's near the train station which drive directly to Taipei city. I really had a welcoming feeling here and I'm happy that I came here to volunteer.

This was the first work exchange that my girlfriend and I have ever tried. The hosts were super friendly. They made each day enjoyable. The other volunteers were awesome too. Special shout out to Sunny, Mia, and Marco! The work was always done within 2 hrs, leaving lots of time to explore the local area. Beitou district is definitely a hidden gem in Taipei. We'd recommend it to anyone wanting an authentic taiwanese experience. 10/10, would worldpack here again.

Truly the best! This was my first time using Worldpackers, I'm so glad I did. Everyone is so nice and welcoming, they really treat you like you're part of their family and I'm going to miss them a lot. The work was just like everyone else described, hours are usually only till 2:30, goes faster with more people, and Sundays are usually the busiest days but even then I've never stayed till 4. Although it's a little further from the center of Taipei, I think it's the perfect balance and I loved taking the train in. Highly recommend!
