The Experience

We are a young couple at heart, who, for over the past 10 years have run the hostel, and recently opened a second unit. Now we have over 100 travelers staying with us every night and are incredibly proud of the community we have developed between our bar and the 2 hostels. Our hostel family grows bigger each year, which is why we would love to welcome energetic travelers to our hostel to create new stories and adventures. =)

Volunteering at the hostel was nothing but amazing. Spela and Denis were great to work for and the other staff and volunteers were the highlight of my time there. It truly felt like a second home that I didn't realize how quickly the 2 weeks flew by. The work was light leaving plenty of time to explore Bled and the area and also just meet other travelers at the hostel. I would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking of applying.

Špela and Dennis were the best hosts! We helped to clean the hostel in the mornings after check out and in the evening at 10 and we took turns doing reception. Everyone working at the hostel is lovely and lots of fun. Bled is a gorgeous place to be and we had lots of time to explore and get to know Slovenia and our volunteers. Would so recommend this is experience! Such a fun way to experience a beautiful part of the world with some lovely people :)

I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to experience volunteering in the hostel. The work load was very reasonable and gave sufficient time to explore and hike around. The hosts were patient and great at making me feel at home. The overall atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. I had the opportunity to meet many cool people from the staff and from the travellers. I feel like I now have a second home in slovenia ❤️.

I cannot write enough good things about Špela, Denis, and the whole the hostel team. This experience was one I will never forget! It was my first time volunteering in a hostel and they were so helpful in teaching me everything. They have high expectations and are very clear about what the standards are, which honestly made it so easy to fit right into the team and to know what to do. There was so much time to explore the area and the flexibility was so appreciated. Gonna miss my Bled family so much <3

I would highlyyy recommend volunteering here! I came with a friend in May and we had the best time. The work was super chill, just 2 hours a day of housekeeping and cleaning. Bled itself is stunning with loads to do like hikes, swimming, and tonnes of activities. The hostel vibe was super social, we met new people pretty much every day and the bar downstairs was always buzzing. Špela and Denis were amazing hosts, so welcoming and always up for a laugh. Such a great experience all around and would hugely recommend it :)
